At High Point University, every student receives an extraordinary
education in an inspiring environment with caring people.

Deluxe Freshmen Residence Halls
University Center*
The University Center, which opened in
August of 2009, is coed by floor. All rooms
are traditional, two-person suites with full
size beds featuring a built-in shelf with
reading lights, a GE Profile microwave and
a refrigerator. Each student also has his or
her own mirrored armoire and desk.
The University Center features large semi-private bathrooms with
solid granite counter tops, marble tile flooring, maplewood
cabinetry, double under-mounted sinks, huge mirrors, private
showers and private restrooms. The bathroom is shared with the
adjoining room.
Students housed in the University Center will have convenient access to the
200 seat Extraordinaire Cinema, The Point Sports Grill, 1924 PRIME Steakhouse,
the arcade, Great Day Bakery, HPU Farmers Market and many secluded areas to
study including the Learning Commons. This first class, 275,000 sq. ft. facility
gives students plenty of space to study and relax outside of the classroom.

Deluxe Freshmen Residence Halls
York Hall-Honors Scholar Residence Hall*
York Hall is a fully-furnished
coed residence hall that opened
in August of 2007. The private
bedrooms are arranged in two,
three and four bedroom
apartments, which feature a
furnished living room, dining area
and a kitchen with a full-sized
refrigerator, a built-in microwave
and a two burner stovetop.
York Hall apartments feature one or two bathrooms. The
bathrooms all have solid counters with large vanity areas and
well lit showers. Apartments with two and three bedrooms share
one bathroom, while apartments with four bedrooms have two
bathrooms.
Only freshmen accepted into the Honors Scholar Program will have the option of living in York Hall. Honors
Scholar amenities include personal study areas, a professor-in-residence, as well as 24-hour quiet hours creating
an environment where students can continually focus on their academic endeavors.

Deluxe Freshmen Residence Halls
Blessing Hall*
This fully furnished, coed residence hall
opened in August of 2006. Each apartments
feature two, three or four private bedrooms with
one or two bathrooms. They all have furnished
living and dining rooms. Blessing Hall has two
private study lounges per floor. This provides
students an alternative study location with the
opportunity to work on group projects.
Bedrooms in Blessing Hall are fully furnished with a standard
twin-size bed, a wooden dresser and desk with a chair.
As in every residence hall, Blessing Hall has a Resident Assistant on every floor. The RA is responsible for
coordinating hall meetings and creating activities to promote unity within the residence hall. Students also have the
opportunity to be a part of the Inter-Residence Council. IRC is a cross-campus organization that serves as a forum
for student input on residential life, in addition to providing services to the residents at HPU.

First Class Freshmen Residence Halls
Finch Hall
Finch Hall features suite-style, fully furnished
living quarters for all men with semi-private
baths. Rooms include ceiling fans, dimming
lights, two closets and a sink. Lounges in Finch
are furnished with plush leather furniture, flat
screen televisions, and first class pool tables.
All rooms have been recently renovated.
Finch Hall residents enjoy the luxury of having one of
HPU’s sand volleyball courts right outside their door!

The Women’s Complex
The Complex provides housing for women in four connected residence halls - McEwen, North, Wesley, and Yadkin.
These four halls feature both suite-style living quarters with semi-private baths and traditional two-person rooms
with hall baths. All halls have recently been renovated.

Millis Hall
Coed by floor, Millis Hall is
a fully furnished residence
hall with double occupancy
rooms and new hall style
bathrooms. This residence
hall was completely
renovated in 2007 and each
room includes two built-in
desks, two closets, full
carpeting, and ceiling fans.
First Class Freshmen Residence Halls
Belk Hall
Fully renovated in 2008, this
coed residence hall contains
quads each made up of
four two-person bedrooms
surrounding a common area
and large suite-style baths.
Belk Hall offers wellness living
with 24-hour quiet hours.
Residents in Belk Hall enjoy
the North Carolina weather in
the rocking chairs on the large
balconies.

Amenities
Residents in all of our residence halls enjoy air conditioning, carpeting in each individual room, spacious common areas
with new furniture and plasma TVs, free laundry, free cable TV, wireless Internet access and outdoor patios with lounge and
rocking chairs!
Every residence hall features free laundry.
Students can access a virtual laundry room online
to check the availability of the laundry facilities.
Students can also receive a text message when
their laundry is ready. This is designed to help
students better manage their time.
HPU’s residence halls are locked 24-hours a day
to ensure our student’s safety. Student can access
their residence hall with their High Point University
passports.
Every residence hall also
