Newsletter
We hope all of our BAD families had a safe and fun summer. We would like to welcome all of our new
and returning students. We are eager to get back to dancing and can't wait for all of the fun we will
have. We have lots to go over and share with you so please read through this newsletter carefully as it
contains important information.
New lnstructor
We would like to introduce a new instructor joining our BAD family. Jennifer Neveu started her ballet
training at age 7 with Betty Love in Ancaster, ON. She continued her studies and competed in Ballet, jazz
and Modern Dance in Simcoe, ON. At age 17 she achieved her Elementary Executant Exam. She has
experience teaching students 2-18 and has enjoyed many RAD teacher training workshops and seminars
in Toronto, ON.
We are so excited to welcome Miss iennifer to our BAD Family !!!
Renovations
As many of you heard and now can see, BAD has underwent some major renovations over the summer.
We are so proud to offer our students a BIGGER and BETTER dance facility. Since we acquired our new
space we are now able to offer our BAD families more convenience, more classes and additional
services. Upstairs we have added multiple rooms including a storage room, a staff lounge, a study nook,
an additional washroom, a salon, a dance supply store as well as a large dance room.
Dance Room
Our new green dance room offers students a high quality dance floor. lt is a professional sprung marley
floor with high quality speakers, fans,2large viewing windows, multiple large mirrors, a window to
allow natural light into the studio and ballet barres.
Salon
Our salon is equipped to handle all of your needs. Miss Jasna and Miss Emily will be offering colours,
colour correction, cuts, waxing, gel nails as well as manicures pedicures and more !!! Our BAD families
receive LO% off any service.
Salon Hours: Tuesday-Thursday 10am-4pm, Friday 10am-8pm, Saturdays 9am-3pm,
Sunday-Monday Closed
BAD Dance Supply
To offer our BAD families and the general public more convenience our dance supply store offers the
basics of what student's need. We will be offering the sale of jazz shoes, ballet shoes, tap shoes,
footsies, foot paws, tights, body suits, shorts, skirts and more for a great price l! Our BAD student's
receive 10%off all purchases.
Store Hours: Monday 5pm-9pm, Tuesday-Friday 10am-9pm, Saturdays 9am-3pm, Sundays-
CLOSED
BAD Policies
Here are a few new and previous policies we have. lf you have any questions regarding a policy please
speak with Miss Brittany, Miss Jasna or Miss Emily.
Payments
- There will be a $10 late fee if dance fee is not paid by the L0th of each month/term. (Unless
arrangements have been made)
- Any account 45 days past due will be put on suspension until account balance is paid.
- Any student paying monthly must give notice of
"leave" before the 2nd class of the month to receive
remaining refund.
- Any student paying term must give notice of "leave" at end of a month
- Costume deposits of S5O are due in September and January
to receive remaining refund.
(8th). lf the student stops dance activities
neither payment will be reimbursed as part of a processing fee. (Costumes are ordered in January, so if
student stops dance activity after January you will receive the costume)
- A S25 returned cheque fee
will be added for any checks returned by the bank as NSF.
- Any student missing 4 consecutive classes
without notifying the studio will be taken off attendance and
no refund will be given.
lllness
- lf a child has a fever or stayed home from school/daycare please keep them at home until their
temperature returns to normal.
Teachers
- BAD reserves the right to provide a substitute teacher if the regularly scheduled teacher is ill or
otherwise unable to teach.

Weather
- We will not call for weather closings. Please call the studio and listen to our answering machine or visit
our facebook page. A decision will be made no later than 2pm. There will be no refund for classes
cancelled due to weather.
Hair (every form except Ballet)
- Hair must be off of shoulders and in ponytail
- Bangs off of face
Hair - BALLET
- Hair MUST be in a NEAT bun
- No hair pieces (flowers, etc)
- Bangs must be off of face
Jewellery (ALt
CLASSES)
- No dangley earrings
- No bracelets
- No necklaces
Food & Drink
- All food and drink is allowed in waiting areas
- ONLY water is allowed in the dance studios (no gatorade, gum or food of any kind)
Footwear
- Only dance shoes and bare feet are allowed on dance floors
- No outdoor shoes are to be worn in the studios
- please leave WET footwear at landing. This is especially important as students must walk through the
waiting area and when boots and shoes are wet the student's track it into our dance studios causing
them to be unsafe and dirty.
Lost & Found
- please check the lost and found each month. At the end of every month it will be cleaned out.
Termination of Enrollment
ln certain circumstances when it is in the best interest of one or more students, it may be necessary for
the school owners to terminate a student's enrollment.
Reasons for Terminations:
1. Disruptive or dangerous behaviour by students or their parents.
2. Abuse of other children, staff or school property
3. lnability of BAD to meet child's needs

Private Classes
BAD does offer private classes at a rate of S25 per 7/2 hour with either Miss Brittany or Miss Emily.

We offer Birthday Parties at a rate of 51-00 for 2 hours.
A S50 non-refundable deposit is mandatory at time of booking.
