VOICEBERGS
“ An italicized quote of some kind
which inspires the reader”
- Nicolas Cage or Abraham Lincorn
Voicebergs are audio reactive low-poly
floating sculptures. Networked to a
microphone, audiences can interact with
the forms from the shore. Sounds are
translated into light, causing pulses of
colour to travel to the sculptures, which
flicker and glow in reaction to the arrival of
the signal.
The Voicebergs were first displayed floating
on a pond in Vancouver, Canada, for a
winter illumination festival. They weathered
two windstorms and the pond freezing and
were removed unscathed, a testament to
the hardiness of the seemingly delicate
sculptures.
