Thermal Stratification and
Vertical Water Movement
• Remember when you were a kid
and swam in a pond? You know it
gets colder the deeper you go.
That cold water is essentially
stagnant, if left to its own devices.
It doesn't make contact with air and
sunlight, the great "cleansers" of
water. These layers, if left intact,
can potentially cost you fish when a
pond "turns over" in the spring or
fall. Bottom diffused aeration puts a
stop to stratified pond waters
How does it work?

the deepest levels of your
pond.
• The air diffuses take the
oxygen that is
compressed into airlines
and carried down into the
water to the air diffusers.
The air diffusers then turn
the compressed air into
thousands of fine oxygen
bubbles.

As the oxygen bubbles rise up
through the water column they
trap particulates in the air
bubbles and burn off whatever
they trap out of the pond.
Organic matter, pollutants,
saturated sediment,
phosphates, nitrates is aerated
out.
Pond aeration helps reduce
pond algae and offers pond
algae control by reducing the
amount of nutrients
available. This helps eliminate
the need for pond chemicals.

The telescopic pole windmill system is ideal for ¼
acre to 3 acre ponds that are in public domain - such
as golf courses or municipal ponds. The tower is
designed like a 25 Ft tall light post and its modern
style has attracted many residential pond owners as
well.
The tower design hides all airline which goes down
from the compressor through the tower and it prevents
any one from climbing the tower as well.
