Long time FCTV volunteer producer William L. (Mickey) Lacasse passed away
on Wednesday, November 10, 2010. Mickey was an
early member of FCTV and produced Falmouth Youth
Sports, which later became the popular Sports
Crunch, a weekly live program aired on FCTV. The
show highlighted the achievements of Falmouth
student athletes. Mickey’s passion for coaching and
teaching continued even into the last weeks of his
life, when he focused his efforts on creating a girls’
softball program and integrating it into the Falmouth
Little League.
The staff and board of Falmouth Community
Television extend our heartfelt condolences to
Mickey’s wife, Liz, and to the entire Lacasse family.

“While we’ve semi-converted to digital photography at Falmouth Academy, my students continue
to create film images in the darkroom. They love the darkroom and working in the analogue
world. It’s 100% hands on, something that’s tangible. They can feel it as they turn the enlarger’s
lens or submerge the paper into the chemicals. There’s a certain magic to it that is not felt with
a computer. The resulting images are rich and thoughtful.” - Instructor Susan Moffat
