Our two-piece militaty wheels can be seniced "in the /ield" n'ithout
the necessityof normal tire mounting eqttipntent... using onlv u socket
wrench. This "state of the art" wheel has been desigrtedto v'ithstand
the high lateral forces induced by the "beadlock e/lbct " generoted b1;
the runflat. The wheels are built fr"om light v'eight.fbt'gedaluminunt
componentsthat are both durable and easy to handle. Ther hat'e been
tested to withstand ballistic threats including the iVATO 7.62 und 50
caliber ammunitions. Most signiJicant is Hutchinson'.s pntented

Many of thesesame technologicalimprovementscan also be found in both our cast and
forged aluminum one-piece militaty wheels, which incorporate another Hutchinson
"first" ... our patented asymmetricalbead retention system.This systemensuresthe tire
will remain securely in position without a beadlock device, even at low operating pressures, thus delivering greater stability and improved safeQ. In addition, the drop center
area of each Hutchinson wheel has been reinforced to handle the increased loads that
may be transmittedto this area during rrtnflat operationswith the Hutchinson Composite
RunJlat device.

Armored vehicles are designed to protect their occupants in hostile environments.Even the bestprotection can be rendered uselessifthe vehicle cannot
maintain mobility. For this reason, all of the major vehicle builders turn to
Hutchinson to provide mobility solutions that will allow the vehicle to maintain maneuverability and complete its mission, delivering the vehicle and its
passengersto safety.
Hutchinson's engineers have developed new wheel designs that represent the ultimate in technological advancement in providing
mobility solutions to corporations, government agencies, cash transport and a variety of other civilian applications where assured
safety of the vehicle occupants is thefirst priority.
Unlike the military, most armored vehicle applications will utilize a one-piece wheel design.
Added benefits of the light weight forged or cast aluminum wheels offer improved handling
characteristics over the conventional steel wheel that is often supplied with the vehicle. Each
Hutchinson wheel has been carefully designed to ensure optimum fit between the wheel and
the CRF or other specified runflat devices. In some cases, where the mission profile demands ultimate performance, a two-piece wheel with afull military runflat setup will be custom designed to meet the customers'requirements. In these instances, Hutchinson's engineers are able to design and manufacture a wheel that lool<svery much like the original
equipmentwheel and is "undetectable" as a multi-piece wheel to the casual observer.
Off road CRF
As with all Hutchinson wheels, each new design
is subjected to "virtual" testing using Finite
Element Analysis (FEA) to determine its capabilities and ensure its integrity. The components are analyzed to verify that the wheel
meetsor exceedsthe vehicle load requirements.
A "first article" is produced using state of the art CNC equipment and is then subjected
to rigorous evaluation and testing by our Quality Control Department using sophisticated coordinate measurementequipment to ensure accuracy ofthe part produced.
Prior to production, each new desigtt undergoes aggressive structural testing by an independent
laboratory which certiJies the wheel to be in compliance with all customer test requirements, SAE,
DOT, and Hutchinson design standards.
