Adult Faith Formation
Faith Formation News
Joy of Marriage: Congratulations to all those that
attended the Joy of Marriage seminars this past
October. We all are called to witness our marriages to
the world. We are called to be Missionary Disciples for
the church.
How will you answer the call? We continue to pray for
all couples, and will announce the next series soon.
First Reconciliation and First Eucharist - Please pray for our parish’s
young people who will be receiving their First Reconciliation on
Saturday, November 7.
Another class for First Reconciliation will be starting with a Parent
Meeting On January 7 and first class on January 9.
First Eucharist Preparation will begin with a Parent Meeting on January
30 and first class on February 6. Please refer to the schedule on the
Faith Formation bulletin board.
Bible Study continues! October 7th, we covered Jesus’
Sermon on the end times, the signs of the Parousia and
the Day of the Son of Man. Mt Ch 24 and 25. Around
the end of October, we should be starting
Matthew’s account of the Passion. We should
finish Matthew before Thanksgiving. We meet
weekly on Wednesdays after the 8am Mass.
Young Adult Ministry
Once a month, Resurrection young adults
(emerging adults, college age, etc.) are invited
to join us in prayer, discussions and more as
we listen to dynamic talks and share
information with one another.
LCYA and Resurrection present November offerings of
2nd Saturday Adoration Catholic Revolution; 4th
Sunday Fellowship and more.

RCIA/RICA
We welcome all those that were recently fully initiated
into full communion with the Church through the
sacraments of the Holy Eucharist and Confirmation. If
you are interested in becoming Catholic or finishing
your sacraments in order to come into full communion
with the church, we welcome you to join us in
conversation and fellowship. Join us through the Rites
of Christian Initiation (RCIA).
Please stop by the office, or join us at a Sunday Mass.
We will be starting the Symbolon Series this month.
Please invite all to meet after the 10am Mass for both
English and Spanish RCIA/RICA.
To all parishioners: Who have you invited into the
faith? Share how you encounter Christ with another
person today and watch how God grows the faith:
Have we done everything to ensure each person we
meet knows the love of God? You don't need to be a
theologian or expert on the Bible to help others know
God. You just have to answer the call and be willing. If
you have felt a calling to bring people to the church,

Bring it Home - This week, we celebrate all the saints and all the souls
that have impacted our lives by their examples. Bring the Traditions of
pour faith home this week by sharing stories of those who have served
as witnesses of faith to you with others in your household. Who are
those who have lived the Beatitudes within their own
discipleship? Whose examples do you wish to emulate?
Youth Ministry
If you are interested in sharing your faith and joining in on
exciting activities, learning new praise and worship songs,
and serving the community, be sure to attend. The group is
growing and we would love to see you there! All Level 8 and
High School youth are invited! Next meeting will be November 4th at
7:30-9pm in the Magdalene Room.
Please help us reach our goals of more retreats, conferences and more
by donating to the sponsor/adopt a youth program here at Resurrection
of Our Lord. Sponsor cards are now available after Mass and at the
office. This fundraiser will help our youth while they continue their
journey of formation.
Youth Confirmation
Next Youth Confirmation meeting is on Nov 14 th. Don’t
forget your weekly challenges and check out the Take it
Home section of your Book. Please bring your books and any
paperwork with you to all sessions. All paperwork and fees
were due by the end of July. Calls to the homes are being
made if paperwork is still outstanding (Sponsor, Registration, Baptismal
Certificates and fee). Volunteer hours should be starting up as they are
due in December.
If you have not been attending Saturday Confirmation Preparation,
which started in February, the next class will be in 2016.
The Retreat is expected to take place the weekend of March 18 at the
Sparks retreat house.

Would you like to serve in our parish as a Lector, Usher, or
Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion? Training will be
held this Fall. Please email [email protected] or call the office to
let us know you’re interested.
As you clean out your house of treasures, the church will accept
them for the Christmas bazaar. Please no TVs, VCRs, furniture,
exercise equipment, and computer equipment.
Christmas Bazaar: Resurrection’s Annual Christmas Wonderland
Bazaar is quickly approaching. So, mark your calendar for Friday,
Nov. 13th (5pm-8pm) & Sat. Nov. 14th (8am-2pm). Get you Raffle
tickets now. Many elves are needed to make this event
“Resurrection’s largest fundraiser of the year”
a
success. Merry Christmas! Now accepting donations of
new and gently used items, gift cards, and sponsorships.
Thanksgiving Food Baskets: Help feed those in need this
Thanksgiving by donating food, helping to assemble
baskets, distributing baskets, or delivering the baskets to
the home bound. Food donations may be placed in the
wicker baskets in the narthex; or monetary donations in the
poor box envelopes or at the parish office. Volunteers are needed to
make the baskets on Sunday, November 22 from 12pm to 5pm; or to
distribute food baskets on Monday, November 23 from 8:00am to
5:00pm. If you know a family in need please have them contact the

Poor Box Donations: Please use the blue offering envelope,
located in the pews. Your monetary donations should be offered
in the collection baskets. The funds assist those in need in our
parish and community.
Eucharistic Adoration will take place on Monday,
November 2nd following the 9am Mass until 7pm. Spend
an hour with the Lord and listen to Him as He speaks to
you. Pray and meditate, be with Him for a little while.

Intención de misa: ¿Sabía usted que puede dedicar
una misa para un ser querido o una intención especial?
Cada misa se puede dedicar a una persona o intención.
Muchos están disponibles durante todo el año

misa.
Adoración Eucarística. tendrá lugar el
lunes 2 de noviembre, después de la misa de
la 9:00am hasta 7p.m. Pase una hora con el
