EXHIBITIONS 11/6-28/8 “They call us craftists” The graduate students from The University College of Arts, Crafts and Design exhibit their degree projects. Participants: Caroline Hultqvist, Evelina Dovsten, Evelina Eronen, Ida Karlsson, Ida Netterberg, Johanna Nestor, Lisa Pettersson, Mollie Albertsson, Petter Rhodiner, Sunna Helgadottir, Tove Tengå, Elin Forsberg, Ammy Olofsson, Lisa Wallert, Polat Ghasemloo och Samir Dzabirov. ”Last Call”, The graduate students from The National School of Glass in Pukeberg display their work. Participants: Tanja Burkhardt, Sebastian Jonson Ögren, Maja Larsson, Sophie Lund, Jenni Salminen, Christian Sandqvist, Fredrik Serder, Johanna Söderberg. Both exhibitions open 11 at 14:00. SUMMER 2016 11/6 BOOM, The feminist separatist glass group “BOOM”, with members Sara Lundkvist, Matilda Kästel, Nina Westman, Erika Kristofersson Bredberg and Ammy Olofsson, exhibit works they have experimented with in the hot shop. The exhibition opens at 13:00 with a perfromance. 18/6-4/9 Crystal Collections ”Johansfors Revisited”, glass from Johansfors glassworks, which includes engraved showpieces from the 1920s, Gunnar “Grüno” Håkansson’s bubbly 1930s vessels, as well as Bengt Orup’s designs from the 1950s. A collaboration with associations in Johansfors. This exhibition opens at 14:00. The exhibition “Johansfors at home” opens at 18:00 in Johansfors. PROGRAM 18/6 ”Phoenix”, Cirkus Performance by Circus Glass Royale, at 13:00. Concert, The Johansfors Octet plays brass music in the hot shop at 15:00. Refreshments will be served. 50.-. 29/6 and 1/7 ”Small Glass Factory”, are you curious about glass? Try different techniques such as blowing, engraving, painting and fusing. We explore glass as a material, its history, and make our own objects. June 29th at 12:0016:00. Recommended for ages 7+. Admission fee: 100 SEK. July 1st at 12:00-16:00. Recommended for ages 7+. Admission fee: 70 SEK. 4/7 - 14/8 Open hot shop, mon-fri15:00-17:00. Blow your very own hanging glass ornament! Pick-up the following day. Drop in. Recommended for ages 7+. Admission fee: 150 SEK. 29/7 “The Big Glass Factory” don’t miss the coolest summer class for children! During an exciting day you’ll be given the chance to work creatively with glass – from sketch to complete object in the hot shop. July 29th at 12:00-16:00. Recommended for ages 7+. Admission fee: 100 SEK. Throughout the summer: Swedish as well as international glass artists in the hot shop and cold shop: Tillie Burden, Peter Hermansson, Bjørn Friborg, Anna-Linda Gabriel, Lina Nieminen and Simon Holm among others.
