Ages: 4th to 6th
7th grader counselor in training program.
Where: Woodleaf Outdoor School, Nevada City
Date/time: August 8-9-10 (2 nights, 3 days, Fri-Sun),
arrive Woodleaf Outdoor School, Nevada City at 2:00 p.m. on
Friday, through —2 p.m. Sunday
Just like the program at Alder Creek Middle School– students
have fun learning about our natural environment and the animals
that live in it.
Includes simple overnight Tent or cabin accommodations for two nights,
food, and activities. Accommodations –first come first served basis.
Where: Sagehen Field Station (UC Berkeley), Truckee
Date: August 15-16-17 (2 nights, 3 days, Fri-Sun)
Cost: Family of 4 $450; parent and child $225; extra individual
with a family $70.
Family natural science camp at Sagehen Meadows.
Michael Ross will be guest speaker and educator! Michael has the
amazing gift of being able to teach natural history to adults, as
well as young children. He is a prolific author, and will have a variety of books on hand for families.

Students learn the age old art of egg painting and creative writing. Ad an old art with a new flare and boom– its AFRICA! Students art and poetry will focus on the land of Africa!
Limited to 10 students

Ages: 7-12
In this multimedia class children explore various forms of art–
Batik, weaving, pottery and bead making. This class to will explore the arts and colors of Africa in these mediums.
Limited to 13 students
Students learn shading, shadows and all about light and color.
Class includes canvas painting of still life in the classroom. Lessons on color mixing and shading and general composition.
Limited to 8 students
STUDIO atmosphere for total creative engagement!
