The VZ5500 conference and voting system is
equipped with outstanding audio compression and
signal processing technology. It also integrates all
important functions within one single controller.
The modular design of the VZ5500 conference and
voting system allows to connect up to 999 discussion units which can be controlled by one controller. This high flexibility makes it a perfect solution for
small, mid-size and large conferences. The VZ5500
includes all necessary components for mobile or
temporary set-ups as well as for fixed installations.
All conference participants, chairman as well as delegates, only have to press clearly labelled push-buttons to control all necessary operational functions.
Ergonomically designed configuration software
helps system administrators to configure small and
large VZ5500 systems with just a few mouse clicks.
The daisy-chain structure completes the easy and
user-friendly handling of the VZ5500 as it avoids the
need of complex cable structures - just one cable
ring is needed beginning at the main controller and
terminated at the last delegate station.

Digital Infrared Conference System
Wireless conference systems are easy to install, do
not interfere with room decorations or furniture
and delegate microphones can be positioned at any
location. High frequency wireless distribution can
however be received within far distance by unauthorized listeners and do therefore not guarantee
confidentiality. The advantage of infrared signals can
only be received within visual distance and even thin
plaster board walls, curtains and frosted glass walls
prevent any further distribution of the transmission.
Modern architecture often uses transparent glass
walls within buildings to separate meeting rooms
acoustically. This is however no barrier for traditional infrared transmission systems and adjacent meeting can receive signals from each other.
To overcome these disadvantages, the VZ6100 digital infrared conference system extends these wellknown advantages of today’s analog infrared conference systems.
All analog signals are at first converted into digital and are then combined with special algorithm
to add another level of security to normal infrared
transmission. This transmission method allows only
those receivers to decode the incoming data stream
which are fitted with the corresponding decoding
algorithm. For all other receiver stations within the
reception area of the infrared transmitter, the data
stream cannot be decoded. For that reason several
VZ6100 systems can be installed within the same
area an within viewing distance hence guaranteeing
full separation of the datastream resulting in highest
confidentiality and privacy.

The most difficult task other digital transmission systems have to deal with is to establish a balance between compression and delay. The VZ8000 resolves
this problem by integrating a proprietary data bus
which transfers uncompressed 32 channels audio
data in real time via standard CAT5 cabling.
The VZ8000 integrates discussion, voting and interpretation in one system. With features like delegate
identification and display, selectively wired or wireless language distribution, and the potential for remote-controlled system management, the VZ8000
fully meets the demands of modern conferences.
