We are contacting you to inform you of our Nature Education Programme specialy
designed for schools, either at the Park or Reptile Talks can be done at your
school.
Schools visiting the Park:
This is where your school comes to visit the animals at their home at Hartbeespoortdam
Snake & Animal Park. On arrival your group will be escorted to the arena where they will watch an informative and
entertaining snake and seal demonstration (approx 1/2 hour).
After the demonstration the group could go on a ferry ride (approx 1/2 hour) if booked, and then the children would
have an exciting guided walk around the Park. Worksheets for your group can be obtained from the ticket officer.

Hands-on:
Reptile Talk:
We are offering the special 'hands-on' programme at the
park. The programme takes approximately 1/2 hour and the
programme takes place in a private area. A short interesting
talk is given on each animal (4 species of animals). The
animals are then shown to the children. The trusted success
of this has made it a firm favorite with schools, thereby
offering children the compelling experience (many for the first
time in their lives) of close contact with a animal from the
wild. Information and worksheets on the animals used can
be provided.
General Lecture and demonstration of 4 different animals(
a Snake (Non venomous), a Bull Frog, a tortoise and a
Chameleon) at your school. We do a short interesting
lecture on each animal and then it’s presented to the
children to touch and feel wherever possible. Each animal
takes approximately 15 minutes making a total of one hour
for the presentation. We can do a maximum of 3
presentations with approx 120 to 150 pupils per group
however this can be amended to suit your requirements.

END FUNCTIONS.
WE HAVE SPEED BOAT, JET SKI AND WATER TOYS AVAILABLE FOR
YOUR PLEASURE TO ENJOY FROM 15MIN TO 1 HOUR CRUISES.
OUR FAMOUS FERRY BOAT RIDE WILL BE THE TOPIC OF THE DAY.
WE HAVE DAILY 25 MIN CRUISES OR FUNCTION (WEDDINGS,
CONFERENCES,BIRTHDAY PARTIES ETC.) CAN BE
ARRANGED ON OUR FERRY BOAT.
