Oryukdo Island
At Gwangbok-ro, the streets are packed with shops, earning
it the moniker fashion street. Here, you can enjoy extensive
clothes shopping from luxurious foreign brands to second
hand ones. Early December of each year, the Busan Christmas
Tree Festival embroiders the skies with beautiful LED lights
and fills the area with various street performances.

Oryukdo Island, the symbol of the beloved Busan
oceans! The island is named Oryukdo because
it turns into five islets during the low tide and
six at high tide. Dongraebuji, published in 1740,
mentions that “it was named after its six peaks
as seen from the east, and five from the west.” You can
enjoy the fascinating blue ocean, Haeundae, and Nurimaru
through the transparent floors of the Oryukdo Skywalk
located on the 35-meter high ocean cliffs at the entrance
of the Haeparang Trail.

Busan Fisheries Science Museum – introducing the
development and future of fisheries-related science and
technology (free admission).
Haedong Yonggungsa Temple – Passing by the Zodiac gods
and the 108 stairs, you can see the Buddhist sanctuary that
heads straight toward the blue ocean. Walking here gives
one a somewhat mystique feeling as if stepping into a
dragon castle in the ocean. Also, there is a folk tale that if
you make wishes at this temple, at least one of them will
come true, which is another reason why so many tourists
visit Haedong Yonggungsa Temple.

Dalmaji-gil Road
Come visit the Dalmaji-gil Road, the so-called “Montmartre
of Busan,” to enjoy the Moon Tan Road where you can take
a walk under the moonlight. There is even a saying that goes
“Enjoy a suntan at Haeundae Beach during the day, and
moontan at night.” Numerous galleries, exotic cafés, and
high-end restaurants are located in the area, which are in
harmony with the shades and waves—the reason why
Dalmajigil Road has been considered as one of the eight
scenic views of Korea. Particularly in spring,
you can enjoy the romantic road as it becomes filled with
splendid cherry blossoms.

It offers visitors a spectacular scene—the country’s longest
sand beach packed with 8,000 beach umbrellas each year.
It’s no wonder that Haeundae Beach is used to measure the
number of summer vacationers nationwide!
The area is also filled with various accommodation types such
as high-end hotels, hot springs, and recreational facilities,

Busan Cinema Center is an exclusive theater for the Busan
International Film Festival. It also houses the Media and Culture
Complex, which is the first in the world to bring movies and
performing arts together, making it the new mecca for the global
film industry. The “big roof” that covers the Busan Cinema Center
is in the Guinness Book of Records as the world’s largest. With
a size equivalent to that of 2.5 soccer fields, the “big roof”
presents a splendid view of 40,000 different types of LED lights.
The Busan Museum of Art is the main art museum in Busan,
wherein various types of art exhibitions are held. The museum
also stages a wide range of art for the public through an active
international exchange of art works.
Dongbaek Island
Located on the far south of Haeundae Beach,
Dongbaek Island is well-known for its beautiful coastal
trail filled with camellias and pine groves. On the south
end of the island is the Nurimaru APEC House, which was
where the 2005 APEC Summit was held.
It has since become the symbol of future Busan, the city
of international conventions.
