Immerse yourself in a natural and historic-cultural
dimension that only the youngest Park of Italy can
offer. You will experience the beauty of the Appennino
Lucano National Park, walking trails that will make
you know beautiful places in their quiet and austere
majesty, through forests of beech and fir ivy, and
works of a distant past still load charm, as the
archaeological area of ​​
Grumentum.Trekking and guided
tours by ecobus, will frame this s
cenic-cultural
and gastronomic route. A bilingual naturalist guide
will explain the characteristics of the places and
will facilitate the interaction with the local people
during visits to the villages of Viggiano and Pignola.
In these places tourists can buy local crafts, food
and wine typical of the area. So the different senses
will be stimulated: taste, thanks to the proposal of
the Basket of typical products of the Park, but also
touch, hearing and smell, involving tourists directly
in laboratory activities as the production of PGI
and the participation to a concert performed by an
ancient but extremely elegant instrument as the Harp
of Viggiano. The tourist, guest at local hotels, will
live a genuine experience, unhurriedly savoring the
flavors, traditions and historical and natural beauties
of a land full of attraction throughout the year.
