for her English teacher. As part of a peer editing assignment, she would like you to
read it. After reading Carla's paper, think about the suggestions you would make to

supports the jury's verdict."

consciousness; whether or not minors should be charged as adults in violent
crimes. (15) Many people argue a teenager may not have the mental
development to know the implications of their actions. (16) They cannot
understand the ramifications of their alleged crimes nor the true nature of a
prison sentence. (17) A first degree murder conviction carried different
penalties within different states. (18) Some states assert that while
recognizing the severity of the offense, it must be tempered with the mental
capacity of the juvenile offenders. (19) Still, Mark James the father of the
victim Tiffany Eunick, has publicly stated he would like to see Tate
imprisoned for life. (20) "I think he very much wanted to kill her. (21) It
was no accident."
