We all know we should take care of our skin but where do you start? Beyond cleanse, tone &
moisturise I knew very little and I only started to understand when I trained as a therapist in my
40’s. Previously, I guess I was quite typical of many women (and men) and was heavily influenced by
TV advertising, High Street offers and magazine write-ups & ended up with a mish mash of
ineffectual tubs of empty promises. Occasionally, I would find a product I “liked” and then stick with
it for years never questioning the suitability or content.
Then OMG! Last winter it happened, I aged, literally overnight, no gentle decline. I found myself
avoiding mirrors that were too near natural daylight and regularly used to apologise to my skin for
what I put it through, hoping it would somehow forgive me. I would promise it anything, drink less
wine, drink more water, eat more fresh fruit and never again go to bed with my make-up on.
However, I recently had to replace the skincare range in my spa and went on a mission to find the
best the industry had to offer. After many months & suffering information overload I found the
perfect range. The creams are medical grade, pure, simple, effective, paraben free and scientifically
proven with a unique patented oxygen formula. I love the products, my routine is simple & I can see
a marked improvement. I am a busy working mum & just because I work in the industry do not
think I have time for wall to wall facials. Our facials are fabulous & extremely beneficial but to really
see more permanent results it is your homecare routine you need to consider.
By now you have probably looked through the brochure thought that you can’t afford to change
your entire regime overnight & I don’t expect you to. However, I want you to introduce an oxygen
product into your skincare regime because unless you already use Karin Herzog or have regular
oxygen facials your skin is missing out on a very vital & natural element. I hope this is helpful.

Step One - Cleansing
Karin Herzog only sells 3 cleansers. Use any other cleanser, you need to check for Ph
balance (skin ph is 5.5) a change can lower protection against bacteria & spots. It should
not contain harsh chemicals that will strip the skin of oil leaving the skin feeling tight or
cause irritation. Some cleansers will require you to use a separate make-up remover or
you will need to double cleanse to achieve results. Always choose a paraben free brand.
Tonic Lotion – Apply the same rules as for tonic as for cleanser should also be toning &
soothing for the skin. A good quality tonic is vital for preparing the skin for the next stage.
Exfoliation - There are 2 types available chemical such as our AHA fruit enzyme &
mechanical as in our mild scrub. Some natural additives are not smooth & can cause tiny
scratches to the skin. Please be aware plastic beads used in some products do not biodegrade & can pollute our rivers and seas causing problems for our wild life.
Step Two – Serums, Oils & Mask
Once thoroughly cleansed your skin is ready for the treatment phase. Choose from Vit-aKombi Facial Oil, Glyco Rose, Vitamin H or Shaving Oil for the men. Alternatively, apply
one or more fabulous serums by Lumos a specialist company who only make serums.
Lumos™ Serums - Expensive? Yes! Do they work? Yes! Do I recommend them? Yes!
Do I use them? Yes! Which ones? All of them! Does my husband know? Of course not!
Karin Herzog has only one gorgeous face mask use 2-3 times per week for a real treat.
Step Three – Oxygen
The oxygen creams contain hydrogen peroxide which is a fusion of oxygen & water that is
naturally produced by our own bodies. On contact with the skin the oxygen is released &
is pushed deep into the skin along with water & vitamins. The creams contain different
formulas & levels of oxygen to treat all skin types & conditions. The effect is to spring
