Admission requirements
General requirements
• Registered and active as a full-time student at Lund University at
the time of application
• Studied two terms full-time studies at Lund University at the time
for the mobility period
• Achieved at least 30 credits in the main subject to be studied
abroad at the time of application.
- Some departments may have higher requirements
• Academic studies normally within Social Sciences
• Submit a preliminary study plan containing courses equivalent to
full-time studies eligible for credit transfer
• Sufficient knowledge in the language of instruction

• Check if there are any restrictions
• Courses must not overlap with the programme or your
previous studies
• Do not have to be on the Advanced level

- List your choices according to preference, - Max 10
•
Fill out the form with your name, address, study
information etc.
•
Upload supporting documents (in English)
•
Submit application: Press the button “send application”
•
Deadline: 1 March 24:00

Study Plan
• Your name
• Name of university
• Subject area, course name,
course code and number of credits
• Semester (first or second)
• Alternative courses
• Full-time studies
Statement of Purpose
• Introduce yourself
• Explain how you are going benefit from your
exchange studies in the future
• In English (or language of instruction + Swedish)
• Max 1 A4-page
CV
• Personal information
• Education
• Relevant work experience
• Other relevant activities
What happens next?
•
Your application is registered and is then sent to your
department/program for processing/review.
•
Following review of all applications, a final distribution of
exchange places is made.
•
It takes approximately four to six weeks for nominations to
be made.
•
You will be notified via email whether or not you have
been nominated.
Selection Criteria
• Grades – academic credits and grades
• Study plan – how relevant the chosen courses are to your
current studies/curriculum and possibility to accredit the
courses in Lund
• Statement of Purpose – motivation and goals
• Experience, activities, etc. of relevance
• The department’s assessment of the student
• An equal distribution between sexes
Nomination decision
• Nomination decision will be placed outside the
Faculty Office and emailed to all applicants
• Nomination email will be sent to all nominated
students
• Reply via link in the nomination email within 7 days
Application to the Host University
• New application to the host university
• Your coordinator will guide you through the process
• Your academic advisor/programme should
approve your study plan.

Erasmus scholarship
• 375 Euros per month for studies in Austria,
Denmark, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy,
Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland, UK
• For mobility to the other countries: 315 Euros per
month.
• Travel report is required!
