Red Banks Ridge Ballroom
The Red Banks Ridge Ballroom is ideal for larger weddings up to 235 guests.
With a large stone fireplace, an adjacent outdoor terrace and beautiful windows
overlooking Lake Chatuge and the Blue Ridge Mountains, it’s the perfect location

Chatuge Event Pier
The Chatuge Event Pier is a popular feature with those looking for a unique
ceremony or reception site with 3000+ sq. ft. of open-air. The Chatuge Event
Pier will comfortably hold up to 200 guests. There is no greater place to

The Lakeside Lawn
The Lakeside Lawn allows you to experience the Blue Ridge Mountain views over

The Oaks
Stately panelled walls adorn the interior of this beautifully appointed venue. Full
length windows allow guests to overlook beautiful Lake Chatuge. Enjoy the patio
with the soft breezes and majestic mature trees. Seating is available for up to 94
inside and 50 on patio.

High Cove Ridge Room
This creatively shaped room has beautiful large bay windows with lovely views
of the lake with direct access outside for cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, or just some
fresh mountain air! The High Cove Ridge Room is ideal for rehearsal dinners or
weddings of up to 100 guests.

Frequently Asked Questions
• How far in advance can I book?
The earlier the better so you are more likely to get the dates, space and times you desire. It is
dependent upon multiple factors including your party size as well as the time of year. However, one year to six months prior to your desired date is usually sufficient.
• Can the space be used for both the ceremony and the reception?
We strongly advise you to have a separate location for each event. The Ridges Resort has
several ceremony locations as well as a variety of reception locations that help to provide a
smooth and convenient transition from ceremony to reception.
• If I choose to have an outdoor ceremony or reception, what happens if it rains the day of
the wedding?
During peak months, a tent is required as an alternative for an outdoor ceremony or
reception. During non-peak months, an indoor space is held for an outdoor ceremony or
reception based on the number of estimated guests.
• Can I just have my ceremony at The Ridges Resort?
The Ridges Resort requires either that both the ceremony and reception or the reception
only be held here.
• Are there certain days of the week, or times of day, when the price is discounted?
Friday and Sunday dates are at a decreased venue rental and food and beverage minimum.
• What types of payments do you take?
The Ridges Resort accepts most major credit cards and certified checks. A credit card form
must be kept on file regardless of which type of payment is used.
• What is the schedule of payments?
The initial deposit of 25% of Estimated Food and Beverage total and Venue Rental is due
when you sign your agreement, the next payment of 50% is due three months prior to the
event. The final payment is due along with the final guaranteed number of guests, one week
prior to your event date.
• How long do we have the wedding venue for on our wedding day?
Venues are typically four hours prior to ceremnony start time and six prior to reception start
time to allow for setup. We do not limit the time nor the duration of your ceremony/reception.
However, all outdoor receptions must end at 11:00 pm due to local noise ordinance.
• What is the cancellation policy?
Should the event be cancelled, you will be required to pay the Resort, as liquidated damages,
within thirty days after written notification to the resort or cancellation, as follows:

• Can I use my own caterer or do we have to use The Ridges Resort catering services?
Due to specific liability policies, all food and beverage must be provided by the Resort with the
exception of the wedding cake.
• Do I have to use your vendors or can I bring in my own?
We do have a recommended vendor list. Of course, you are also welcome to utilize your own
vendors.
• Am I subject to any food and beverage minimums and if so, how much?
Yes, please see the Food and Beverage minimum page listed earlier in the packet. Food and
Beverage minimums do not apply to rehearsal dinners or other catered events such as Bridal
lunches or a Post-Wedding Breakfast. Please ask your Catering Manager for more options or
details.
• Is the Catering Manager the same as a Wedding Planner?
No. The Catering Manager will help you plan the aspects of your event that pertain to services
or products provided by the resort, such as food and beverage, venue set-up, linen choices
and directing the rehearsal and ceremony. The coordination of the flowers, DJ’s, bands, cake
providers, ministers, etc should be handled by a designated member of the family or wedding
party, or by
the Wedding Planner. All special announcements such as introducing the bride and gvenue,
announcing special dances and special events such as cake cutting or toasts should be orchestrated by your band, DJ or designated representative.
• Does the hotel offer a discounted venue block?
We require a 2 night minimum stay April-November and a block of at least 20 venues per
night. During December-March, 20 venues for 1 night is required. However if the event falls
on a Sunday during any season of the year, then it is only a 1 night minimum. Your guests will
receive a generously discounted lodge rate.
• We are also looking to host a rehearsal dinner, bridal luncheon and post-wedding brunch.
Can you handle these and if so, where?
Yes! We have many different venues that can accommodate your varied wedding events. The
size of your party and theme of the event will help to determine which location would be the
best fit. Please consult with your catering manager on space and time availability.
