perfect destination for your outdoor wedding. Experience romantic lake

flowing in the breeze. We offer Rehearsal Dinners, Morning After
Brunches, and Ceremonies and Receptions; overlooking beautiful Torch
Lake. Our staff provides excellent service and accommodations for up to
250 guests. What’s more, our Venue Coordinator will ensure that the
ceremony and reception site are set up to your specifications ready for
your personal decorating touch!
Our tented pavilion and landscaped nuptial ceremony area are sure to set
a unique and idyllic mood for your celebration. Ceremonies take place on
A-Ga-Ming’s highest bluff, providing the Resort’s most breathtaking views
of Torch Lake and the surrounding hilly landscape. The Reception Pavilion
is equipped with adjustable and removable windowed tent walls that
allow your festivity to become as intimate with the natural environment as
you wish, while still affording a sophisticated setting.
The “Torch” Clubhouse deck is ideal for Rehearsal Dinners, Showers and
Farewell Brunches. Sip wine, A “Torch Cocktail,” or your favorite brew.
Our lodging accommodations are comfortable, and convenient distance
from the site. Don’t forget to visit our three unforgettable, award winning

Torch Lake
The name of the lake is not due to its shape, rather, is
derived from translation from the Ojibwa name; Was-wagon-ong, meaning “Place of the Torches”, referring to
the practice of the local native American population who
once used torches at night to attract fish for harvesting
with spears and nets. For a time it was referred to by
local European settlers as “Torch Light Lake”, which
eventually was shortened to its current name. Torch
Lake is noted for its exceptional beauty; its waters are
unusually clear and exhibit a bright turquoise blue. This
quality has made the lake a popular spot for the
development of resorts and second homes.

Over 151 guest – Add $10.00 per person to the $3,800.00 venue fee
$1,000.00 deposit is due at the time of reservation to hold the date set forth

Ceremony is included in the pricing. Ceremony may be held off-site. No discounts will be
given for opting to hold your ceremony elsewhere.
Deposits and will be applied towards the final invoice.
Notice of cancelations must be received by A-Ga-Ming, in writing, no later than six (6)
months prior to the reservation date in order to receive an 80% refund of your deposit.
Failure to comply will result in loss of deposit.
Full payment is due a minimum of 24 hours before the start of the event

Bar
 Bar:

Bar Types:
o Open Bar: $28.00 per guest (age 21 and over) $10.00 per guest (age 21 and under)
plus 20% service gratuity open bar/beverage total. This fee includes draft beer, wine,
liquor, soft drinks and bartending service for 6 hours.
o Beer and Wine only Bar: $23.00 per guest (age 21 and over) $10.00 per guest (age 21
and under) plus 20% service gratuity on bar/beverage total. This fee includes draft
beer, wine, soft drinks and bartending service for 6 hours.


Bartenders employed by A-Ga-Ming will service bar area.
Set up complete prior to ceremony start time.
Draft beer & liquor are served in clear plastic cups.
Wine and champagne are served in stemmed wine glasses and champagne flutes.
Bar Contents:
o Draft Beer: Can select 2 types from the current A-Ga-Ming draft selections.
 Typically, one keg serves approximately 160 twelve ounce cups of beer. For
larger receptions or if you know your guests are predominantly beer drinkers
please let us be aware of this when placing your bar order.
o Wine: Merlot, Cabernet, Pinot Noir, Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay.
o Liquor: Gin, Vodka, Whiskey, Rum, Bourbon Whiskey, and Spiced Rum.
o Soft Drinks: Pepsi Products, Lemonade, Juices, Club Soda and Tonic.
o Champagne toast may be added for an additional fee of $3.50 per person.
o Self Serve after dinner coffee service may be added for a $75.00 fee.
o Bar opens at start of reception.
We can special order your favorite local beer and wine as well as specialty liquor, at an
additional charge.
Pursuant to Michigan Law and the rules and regulations provided by the Michigan Liquor
control Commission (“MLCC”), all alcoholic beverages consumed on a premises licensed by the
MLCC must be purchased from A-Ga-Ming Golf Resort. Consumption on the premises of any
alcoholic beverages not purchased from A-Ga-Ming is strictly prohibited.
 Venue Coordinator Services:

Set up and tear down of ceremony and reception space as well as providing bar service.

o Ordering of table linens (if needed)
o Specialty beer or wine requests
o Rehearsal dinner, morning after brunch, etc. quotes and scheduling

 Additional Information:

The wedding party is responsible for contracting all additional vendors needed; including
caterers, florists, bakers, DJ, wedding planners, decorators, photographers, ect.

We ask that your vendors abide by the rules and regulations set by the Resort. All of the
vendors we recommend have been approved by A-Ga-Ming and are familiar with our policies.
Your caterer must provide their own buffet tables and linens. If the wedding party does not
use all the tables available onsite, we will loan the extras to the catering service if needed.
Your DJ MUST be selected from our recommend vendor list. THERE WILL BE A $250.00 FINE IF
YOU DO NOT CHOOSE ONE OF THE DJs FROM OUR LIST. Our preferred DJs are familiar with
the County sound ordinance set for all events held at the Resort. In the event that all of our
DJ’s are unavailable the date of your wedding, please contact your coordinator to discuss your
options. Live music and Bands are not allowed. Event must end by 11:00 PM to allow for ample
clean up time before the 12:00 AM County sound ordinance deadline.
It is the wedding party’s responsibility to set up and tear down decorations at the venue
during the allocated times discussed with the venue coordinator. The wedding party must
clean up the reception space prior to 12:00AM.
In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved under the tent. A-Ga-Ming
staff will be on hand to rearrange tables and chairs during this process if needed. In the
event of cold weather A-Ga-Ming will have patio heaters available at an additional cost of
$50 per heater. If additional heaters are needed it is the wedding party’s responsibility to
contact one of the rental companies on the vendor list provided. A-Ga-Ming Golf Resort
does not provide fans on warmer days. It is the wedding party’s responsibility to contact
one of the rental companies on the vendor list or provide fans of your own for that day.
We will only allow for one wedding reception to take place per weekend. Once your
deposit is placed, you are guaranteed to have the only wedding reception at A-Ga-Ming that
particular weekend. There may, however, be other golf related events during the same
weekend.
Weddings may only be booked between Memorial Day weekend and the second weekend
of September. This is to assure protection of the guests as well as vendor and resort
equipment in cold and inclement weather.
