Tips & Tricks
• Before getting started always make a working
sample for quality control on your project. Doing so
will insure that your consistent with the color
desired.
• Adding clean water first will keep Colorant from
sticking to the sides or bottom of container.
• The color wash system can be mixed to any desired
ratio, but a great starting point is 50:1.
• Wetting the wall down first will give you more control
of color. It will also allow multi-colors to blend
together easier.
• Applying colorant in an “S” type pattern is a great
way to start, however any technique will work.
• Use rags to dab up drips, you can also use your rag
to take off more color or manipulate the color to
where you prefer it.
• When applying sealer, make sure there are no drips
or heavy overlapping. If you do get overlapping
continue to roll until line disappears.
• Color Wash can be removed with soap and water, if
finished wall has been cured and sealed prior to
