48 years old. Born and raised
in Centre Wellington. Married for

we have 3 children. Our children
were involved locally in different
social and sports programs.
I am a former student of
Salem Public, Elora Junior, Elora

multiple companies. I have traveled extensively throughout
North America and also to a lesser extent Europe, Middle East,
South America and Asia.
Passionate about our wonderful community! Listening,
Representation, Transparency
and Communication are my
motto.
My name is Jeremy Vink and
I am looking to represent Centre
Wellington Ward 3. I first
moved to Centre Wellington in
1991 and attended high school
here. My wife and I have two
daughters of our own, and we
have recently been approved by
Children and Family Services to
adopt. I have a degree in urban
planning and have worked for
different municipalities, which I
feel gives me a good understanding of community and municipal
government that is needed to be
on Council. As community is
important to me, I wish to help
build a stronger and better community.

John Ortt, and his wife Lyn,
moved to Centre Wellington in
1966. At that time, John worked
for Beatty Bros/GSW where he
would stay for over 15 years as
Marketing Manager of the pump
divisions. In the early 80s, John’s
entrepreneurial interests took
shape when he started his own
company: “Interpump”. After a
successful 25 years, John sold the
business and is now semi-retired.
Today, John and Lyn live on a farm
outside of Belwood raising beef
cattle.
John believes that small communities, like Belwood, are often
overlooked by municipal government and it is his mandate to
address these issues.

My wife Julie & I moved to
Inverhaugh 12 years ago where I
started my own consulting business, after retiring from IBM. I
have been on the executive of the
Elora Curling Club for 9 years as
well as convener and coach of our
bantam curlers. I am running for
re-election because I want to see
some of the initiatives of our
Economic
Development
Committee moving forward, such
as the development of an environmentally friendly business park. I
want to see Centre Wellington
develop an infrastructure to take
advantage of its geographic
advantage as it embraces a creative economy strategy.

It is truly an honour to serve
this community as Mayor and I
am looking for your continued
support.
Having served on council, as
Mayor, and as the Warden for the
County of Wellington, I am ever
inspired by our community. The
economy has not treated us well
recently but with wise decisions
and focus on our strategic plan we
will keep moving forward.
The challenges for the future
are clearly defined and it is with
leadership that takes action and
gets results that we will keep
Centre Wellington the most
progressive and well managed
municipality in Ontario.
He is firmly committed to
working on behalf of the residents of Centre Wellington and
Ward 4. He demonstrates
dedication through continued involvement with various service
organizations, community groups
and committees. Fred and his
family have lived and worked in
Centre Wellington for more than
20 years. He is the successful
owner of Vision Financial
Services in downtown Fergus.
He is also the executive producer and owner of Vision
Theatre Productions.
As a financial advisor, Fred
believes he is qualified to address
the issues and concerns of Centre
Wellington and the challenges it
will face in the next term.

understand the system before taking on the task of getting
involved.
I moved to the area in 1983
when my parents, Barbara and
Ken Weeks opened a small local
business Ken Weeks Pontiac. As
often is the case with young

Mike Wisniewski
COUNCIL CANDIDATE
WARD 6
Mike Wisniewski has been a
resident of the Fergus/Elora area
for 22 years. In recent years, he's
been a Chamber of Commerce
Director, Community Youth
Editorial Board columnist, CW
Connections group member, and a
volunteer for the Food Bank,
Neighbourwoods, and Relay for
Life. It's time Centre Wellington
citizens
elected
Township
Councillors who will re-evaluate
spending priorities. Our current
spending has caused taxes to rise
every year for too long, while
incurring more debt along the way.
It is my hope to address this, along
with the next council. Also, we
need more Township Councillors
who'll respect our property rights.
