una demostración de confianza en nuestras potencialidades y sobre nuestra competitividad como sociedad productiva.
This 2013 nternational Logistics and Material Handling
Exhibition has been a clear vote of confidence in our
potential and in our competitiveness as a productive
society.
Inaugurado por la Ministra Ana Pastor, hemos recuperado
la presencia en el salón ferial de Montjuïc haciendo posible
la proyección de la marca Barcelona como un activo valioso en el mundo de la logística.
Inaugurated by the Minister Ana Pastor, we have recovered the presence in the fairground of Montjuïc, hence,
making possible the projection of the city brand Barcelona as a valuable asset in the logistics world.
Me satisface enormemente que esta 15 edición demuestre el empuje de este sector industrial y una unidad de
acción que es muy encomiable entre las administraciones
públicas y las empresas privadas. También creo que es
justo que se reconozca la utilidad que han demostrado el
SIL, la asociación Barcelona Centre Logístic y el Consorci
como instrumentos que tejen complicidades a favor de
esta divulgación de la competitividad regional de Barcelona como la principal puerta del sur de Europa y del Mediterráneo en los tránsitos internacionales de mercancías.
I am very pleased that this 15th edition proves the push
of this industrial sector and the laudable united action
of public administrations and private companies. I also
deem fair that we recognise the usefulness of SIL, the
Barcelona Centre Logístic association and the Consorci as instruments that strengthen affinities in favour
of this dissemination of the regional competitiveness
of Barcelona as the main gateway for Southern Europe and the Mediterranean in the international transits
of goods.
Un ejemplo de esta voluntad de transcender a nuestros límites y buscar complicidades a nivel internacional ha sido
la participación de Marruecos como país invitado del SIL
2013. El ministro de Transportes y Equipamientos de Marruecos, Aziz Rabbah, ha encabezado una importante representación institucional y empresarial del país marroquí
con un stand institucional que ha agrupado a diversas
Agencias Estatales marroquís relacionadas con la logística.
An example of this willingness to go beyond our limits
and to seek complicities at an international level has
been the participation of Morocco as the guest country
of SIL2013. The Moroccan Minister of Transports and
Equipment, Aziz Rabbah, has led the institutional and
businesses delegation of this country with an institutional stand that assembled several Moroccan state agencies related to logistics.
El salón es un punto de encuentro insustituible en los calendarios de trabajo de los profesionales de la logística y sólo
hay que ver la capacidad de convocatoria, desafiando a la
crisis económica actual, hemos contado con la participación
de 500 empresas, casi la mitad de ellas internacionales, presentando un centenar de novedades en “primicia mundial”.
SIL is an irreplaceable meeting point in the agenda of all
logistics professionals. Just look at its convening power:
challenging the current economic crisis, we have counted with the participation of 500 companies, almost half
of them international, launching nearly a hundred innovations as a “world premiere”.
El Salón Internacional de la Logística y de la Manutención,
en esta su XV edición ha consolidado cuatro líneas de actuación que han estado presentes desde la primera edición,
como son el ser el punto de encuentro del sector logístico,
su proyección Internacional, ser el verdadero foro del conocimiento logístico y su apuesta por las nuevas tecnologías
como factor estratégico del sector logístico.
The International Logistics and Material Handling Exhibition, in this its 15th edition, has consolidated four
master guidelines that have always been present since
its very first edition: being the meeting point for the logistics sector, its international projection, being a true
logistics knowledge forum and its bet for new technologies as strategic factor in the logistics sector.
Es una satisfacción para el Consorci promover una cita
como ésta, dedicada a un sector tan clave para nuestro
devenir económico. Nos hemos puesto al servicio de los
profesionales de la logística con un salón pensado para debatir sus inquietudes y plantear sus retos y necesidades.
Este es un salón en cuyo frontispicio figura el propósito de
que nuestra economía afiance su competitividad, un objetivo que es primordial para la superación de esta etapa de
crisis económica.
It is a great satisfaction for the Consorci to promote
an event like this, devoted to such a key sector for
our economic future. We have put ourselves at the
service of the logistics professionals in an exhibition
designed to discuss their concerns, needs and challenges. This is an exhibition having as its frontispiece
the purpose of reinforcing the competitiveness of our
economy, a major objective for the overcoming of this
economic crisis.

El SIL 2013 celebró su 15 aniversario cubriendo
todos y cada uno de sus objetivos, logrando más visitantes profesionales, mayor calidad de los mismos, más actos
paralelos de empresas que nunca, presentando el mayor
programa de conferencias del sector y reforzando su carácter internacional. El Salón, durante estos quince años,
se ha convertido en cita obligada y el punto de encuentro
del sector de la logística de Cataluña, de España y de Europa, para muchos países del mundo en el mes de junio.
Han sido 16 años de intenso trabajo de un equipo profesional con un claro objetivo: conseguir que España tuviera primero un Symposium y después un Salón de logística para
el sector que fuera un auténtico referente internacional.
Hoy, podemos decir sin falsas modestias que el SIL es el
segundo Salón logístico de Europa y el primero de España.
En la edición del 2013 de nuevo el SIL volvió a ser un lugar
de excepción para conocer de primera mano oportunidades
internacionales de gran nivel, ya que contamos con la participación de Marruecos como país invitado, la participación
de un 45 % de empresas extranjeras y la visita de importantes delegaciones comerciales internacionales. Al mismo
tiempo celebramos la 11ª edición del Fórum Mediterráneo
de Logística y Transporte y la segunda edición de la Cumbre
Latinoamericana de Logística y Transporte con éxito. De este
modo, el SIL puso nuevamente en práctica otro aspecto clave de su filosofía: ir siempre por delante, buscar los lugares
y oportunidades con mayor potencial de crecimiento futuro.
Hace 15 años, fuimos capaces de dar vida a una idea, a
un proyecto. Nos convertimos casi en visionarios por creer
que un espacio dedicado a un sector como el de la Logística, que aún tenía mucho camino por recorrer, podría llegar
tan lejos. El tiempo, el trabajo y el esfuerzo de muchos nos
han dado la razón.
No sé hasta donde podremos llegar. Pero el equipo humano que presido tiene siempre como objetivo crecer, mejorar
los servicios y ser útil al sector, sin dormirse porque, aunque no es tarea fácil, nos hemos convertido en un modelo
a seguir, copiar y batir. De hecho, tienen ante ustedes imágenes de una realidad exitosa fruto de mucho esfuerzo e
ilusión: un Salón 2013 que ha sabido sobreponerse a las
dificultades propias del momento, en donde se han hecho muchos contactos y negocios, reactivando el sector
en tiempos de dificultades, aspecto que tiene más mérito
aún si cabe.
SIL 2013 has celebrated its 15
Anniversary meting all its objectives, with more professional visitors of
greater quality, more parallel company events than ever,
offering the broadest conferences program of the sector and reinforcing its international character. Hence,
during these fiveteen years, the Exhibition has become a must event and the meeting point for the logistics sector of Catalonia, Spain and Europe as well as of
many other countries in the world in June.

There have been 16 years of hard work of a professional team with a clear objective: first creating a Symposium and then a Spanish logistics Exhibition to help
the sector and to become a real international reference.
Today we are not being falsely modest when we state
that SIL is the second logistics exhibition in Europe and
the first one in Spain.
SIL 2013 has been, again, the place to get to know
first-hand high level international opportunities since we
have received the visit of important international delegations, the participation of 45 % foreign companies and
the participation of Morocco as SIL 2013 guest country.
We have also celebrated our eleventh Mediterranean
Logistics and Transport Forum and the second edition
of the Latin American Logistics and Transport Summit,
both events with great success. This way SIL developed one more time its work vision: to go one step further, to seek new places and opportunities with more
potentially future growth.
Fiveteen years ago we were able to materialise an idea
into a project. We almost became visionaries who believed that a space dedicated to a sector such as logistics,
which had still a long way to go, could get so far. Time,
hard work and effort of many have proved us right.
It is uncertain for us how far we will reach. But the human
team that I work with is constantly focused on growth,
improvement of services and being useful to the sector.
We have become a role model to be followed, imitated
and beaten so we are not facing an easy task. May this
publication reflect the images of success, as a fruit of
much effort and enthusiasm: a 2013 absolutely packed
where many contacts and business have been made
and reactivating the sector in difficult times, an aspect
that makes SIL even worthier.
Por mi parte, un compromiso: mejorar y crecer en todo,
calidad, cantidad, internacionalidad y servicios. Sólo me
queda agradecer de corazón a todos su participación y su
confianza. Seguiremos trabajando por la logística.

El SIL celebró su 15º Aniversario en el recinto ferial de Montjuic-Plaza España de Fira de Barcelona.
La gran cantidad y calidad de profesionales asistentes, 500 empresas participantes, un 45 % de internacionalidad, el mayor programa de conferencias del sector, 3.600 asistentes a las distintas conferencias que se celebraron y una cifra de negocio mayor a la de la anterior edición son algunos de
los datos de la edición más internacional del Salón Internacional de la Logística y de la Manutención.
SIL has celebrated its 15th Anniversary in Montjuïc-Plaza España Exhibition Center of Fira de
Barcelona. The great quantity and quality of professional visitors, 500 participating companies,
45 % of internationality, the largest conferences program of the sector, 3,600 attendees to the
technical conferences and a higher turnover in comparison with SIL 2012 are some of the figures
of the International Logistics and Material Handling Exhibition most international edition.
En un contexto de dificultades económicas, el SIL 2013 logró superar la situación con nota con más de 800 entrevistas comerciales
entre directores de logística y empresas participantes y más de 1500
solicitudes de entrevistas entre visitantes profesionales y empresas
participantes. El Salón Internacional de la Logística y de la Manutención volvió a ser el punto de encuentro del sector donde acudir para
hacer negocios, contactos, intercambiar ideas y opiniones y abrirse
a nuevos mercados. Negocios, contactos, conocimiento, profesionalidad, internacionalidad… fueron las tónicas de una edición muy
positiva que ha reafirmado un año más al SIL como el Salón de referencia en España y el Mediterráneo y el segundo de Europa.
In a difficult economic context, SIL 2013 was a breath of fresh
air and a shot of optimism for the logistics sector with more
than 800 business meetings between companies and logistics managers and more than 1,500 requests for meetings
among trade visitors. The International Logistics and Material
Handling Exhibition was again the best place to be for making business and contacts. Businesses, contacts, knowledge, professionalism, internationality… were the main trends
in a very positive edition which, once again, consolidated SIL
as the leading Exhibition in Spain and the Mediterranean area
and the second one in Europe.

internacional. De esta manera el extenso programa de conferencias técnicas del SIL 2013 se reafirma como el punto de referencia
para el conocimiento y el descubrimiento de nuevas oportunidades
de negocio a todos los niveles en el sector.
Another significant success was the great assistance registered at the 18 technical conferences organized within the
framework of SIL, which had 3,600 attendees and the participation of national and international well-known speakers.
Thus, the wide program of SIL 2013 technical conferences
continues to develop as a point of reference for knowledge
and for the discovery of new businesses.

La Ministra de Fomento, Ana Pastor, presidió la inauguración del 15º
Salón Internacional de la Logística y de la Manutención. La Ministra de Fomento estuvo acompañada por el Ministro de Transportes
de Marruecos, Aziz Rabbah, el Alcalde de Barcelona, Xavier Trias, el
Conseller de Territori i Sostenibilitat de la Generalitat de Catalunya,
Santi Vila, el Secretario de Estado de Infraestructuras, Transporte y
Vivienda del Ministerio de Fomento, Rafael Catalá, el Delegado Especial del Gobierno en El Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona,
Jordi Cornet, la Delegada del Gobierno en Cataluña, Mª de los Llanos
de Luna, el Presidente del Comité Organizador del SIL, Enrique Lacalle, y Presidentes, Consejeros Delegados y Directores Generales de
destacadas empresas del sector. La inauguración del SIL 2013 tuvo
lugar el pasado 18 de junio en el recinto de Montjuïc-Plaza España de
Fira de Barcelona.

Marruecos, con la participación de su Ministro de Transportes y Equipamientos, Aziz Rabbah, al frente, fue el país invitado del SIL 2013.
Marruecos presentó su ambicioso Plan de Desarrollo Logístico, dentro del Salón Internacional de la Logística y de la Manutención, que
contempla la construcción de 70 plataformas logísticas, la puesta en
marcha de una red nacional integrada de Zonas Logísticas Multi flujo y
un importante plan de formación específico para el sector. Marruecos
contó con un stand de más de 100 m2 donde estuvieron presentes la
Agencia de Desarrollo Logístico, la Agencia Nacional de Puertos -que
representa a todos los puertos del país-, la Agencia Especial Tanger
Méditerranée (TFZ), la Agencia Nacional de ferrocarriles (ONCF), Marsa Marroc, la Oficina Nacional de Aeropuertos (ONDA) –que aglutina
a todos los aeropuertos.
Morocco, headed with the participation of the Minister of Transport
and Equipment, Aziz Rabbah, was SIL 2013 Guest Country. Morocco
presented its ambitious Logistics Development Plan within the International Logistics and Material Handling Exhibition. This Plan provides
the building of 70 logistics platforms, the implementation of a Multi Flow National Integrated Logistics Zone and an important specific
training plan for the sector. Morocco had a stand of more than 100
square meters with the participation of the Logistics Development
Agency, the National Ports Agency –representing all Moroccan Ports-,

estuvieron representados los Centros de Transporte de Mercancías (CTM), las Zonas de Actividades Logísticas (ZAL), las Plataformas Logísticas (PL), las Plataformas Intermodales (PI), las
Ciudades del Transporte, los clústeres logísticos,
los parques logísticos empresariales y los Centros
de Actividades Económicas, entre otros. El SIL
CTL, que contó con la colaboración de la Asociación de Centros de Transporte de España (ACTE),
dispuso de una zona de exposición y un espacio
donde los diferentes centros de transporte logísticos que participaron pudieron realizar una serie

Fundación ICIL, volvió a ser el espacio de demostración en tiempo real, en el que se presentaron diferentes sistemas de gestión de
la información asociados a un flujo logístico.
Estos procesos fueron desde la recepción de
un producto hasta la entrega final en casa de
un cliente bajo el concepto de comercio electrónico, pasando por diferentes sistemas de
preparación de pedidos, gestión y verificación asociándolos a sistemas de picking por
voz, put-to-light, y sistemas de cubicación
junto con reposiciones por tags en kanban.

special relevance at SIL 2013 with the
celebration of the 2nd Latin American
Logistics and Transport Summit. With
the objective of reinforcing the existing business relations between Latin

debated the present and the future of Latin American

EU CORE NET CITIES
Organizado por el Ayuntamiento de Barcelona, con
el apoyo de la asociación FERRMED y en el marco
del Salón Internacional de la Logística y de la Manutención (SIL), el pasado 19 de junio se celebró
el Primer Congreso y Exposición EU Core Net Cities con la participación de cerca de 50 ciudades.
Las EU Core Net Cities son las ciudades y áreas metropolitanas que sacan provecho de la red ferroviaria
transeuropea central, que se vinculan para favorecer el
relanzamiento del crecimiento económico, la competitividad y la cohesión territorial de la Unión Europea. El
reto es aprovechar la extensión de las redes transeuropeas para transformar las ciudades en espacios conectados, inteligentes y sostenibles. Durante la celebración de este Primer Congreso se
creó la Plataforma EU Core Net Cities que
hará posible que el impulso iniciado en Barcelona tenga continuidad en otras ciudades.
Barcelona City Council, with the support of the FERRMED Association and within the framework of
International Logistics and Material Handling Exhibition (SIL), on June the 19 th hosted the 1 st EU
CORE NET CITIES Congress and Exhibition with
the participation of about 50 cities. EU CORE NET
CITIES are those cities and metropolitan areas
that benefit directly from the Trans-European Core
Railway Network, and who have come together to
relaunch the European Union’s economic growth,
competitiveness and territorial cohesion. The challenge is to make use of the trans-European network to transform cities into connected, smart
and sustainable spaces. During the celebration of this First Congress EU Core
Net Cities Platform was created with
the aim that the first boost originated in
Barcelona will continue in other cities.
