Preset volume:
The RUBIS electronic register works with or without preset by simple
programmation.
The RUBIS electronic register is an intelligent operator system,
micro-processor based, designed to achieve control of petroleum product
measurement. It ensures all calculations, display and checking functions
for product loading operations.
Valve control:
With a preset volume, the RUBIS electronic register controls the electrical
operation of the two-stage valve. A programmable low flow start and stop
sequence is provided.
The RUBIS electronic register centralises and simplifies all the functions
done today mechanically with SATAM meters.
The RUBIS electronic register front panel contains a large size digit
numeric display (5 digits -1"), an alphanumeric dialogue display (2 x 16
characters -8 mm), a 16 key vandal resistance keypad, a Stop switch a start
switch and a start and Stop mater button.
Accelerator function:
The RUBIS electronic register ensures and serves perfectly the following
functions:
Measured delivery authorization:
When the instantaneous flow rate reaches a threshold (programmable) an
output is stimulated to speed up the tank-truck motor and to activate the
pump by-pass.
In the case of metering equipment with three way valve, the delivery is only
allowed if the three-way valve is in the right position.
Product:
Programmation of 8 different products, with, for each of them, a sales tax
and specific additive.
Computer link:
Allows the link with the truck computer system.
Printer:
The printer used is a horizontal printer, TMU 295 EPSON type, allowing the
printing of:
- A personalised ticket of the delivery with or without invoicing.
- A daily report of deliveries.
- A recap of the bulkmeter calibrations.
- Any one of the last 1500 deliveries.
Totalizer:
Temperature compensation:
The RUBIS electronic register displays (12 digits), without reset, the total
volume delivered.
The RUBIS electronic register measures the temperature of products during
delivery using a PTIOO sensor and calculates the volume based on a
programmable reference temperature. Temperature compensation is accurate
over the fluid temperature range of - 20°C to + 55°C.
Instantaneous flow rate :
During a delivery, the instantaneous flow rate can be displayed.
Meter correction:
The RUBIS electronic register has a parameter to adjust the meter's curve,
i.e the measure error is reduced to 0% for the working flow rate.
Pulser:
The RUBIS pulser (dual pulse transmission) has a rotation monitor
system.
Duplication of' pulses:
The RUBIS electronic register duplicates the metered pulses.
Unit price:
The unit price can be (or not) programmed before each delivery.
Abnormal working alarms display:
The normal working of the RUBIS electronic register is controlled by a
software progress device: WATCHDOG. If abnormal working occurs
during a delivery, it is stopped and an error message is sent to the dialogue
display.
Sleeping mode:
After a time of inactivity, the RUBIS electronic register switches over
automatically to "sleeping" mode. The current consumption is reduced, the
power supply of the truck is then saved.
Emergency stop:
Pressing the Stop button during a delivery signals the valve to close and
terminates the delivery.
Data retention:
The RUBIS electronic register has a non-volatile memory, which is software protected against accidental overwriting. Data is retained irrespective
of the state of the battery, preventing loss of data as a result of prolonged
power failure. The last 1500 transactions are retained in the EEPROM.
Battery:
In the event of power failure, an internal rechargeable back up allows the
save of the delivery in progress and ensures the display during 48hours.
Complementary trucks functions:
Automatic openings, closing bottom foots valve, gear connection, starts and
stop motor and pump.
