10 hard weeks of marching
I’m talking about the retirees in District D who recently
walked the picket line so long that they could barely stand
after 10 hard weeks of marching for our cause. It seems
to me that a group of our District A retirees carried that
torch not too long ago. How about the retirees that showed
up for the rally at the State Capitol in District B this fall,
you know, the ones who meet once a month to dine on the
delicious meals prepared by the spouses? Let’s not forget
the retired members in District C who volunteer to pick
up their fellow members from hospitals and assisted living

for the jacket/cash/turkey draw at that meeting. All food
items collected will be donated to a food pantry or related
charitable activity in the area. Cash donations to the
Salavation Army will be accepted in lieu of food items.

CHANGE IN MEETING LOCATIONS
Please note that the locations of two Local 139
holiday meetings have changed.
The site of the Altoona meeting has been
changed to The Plaza Hotel & Suites, 1202 West
Clairemont Ave. in Eau Claire. The Plaza is one
block north of the Holiday Inn, former site of the
event.
The location of the Janesville meeting has been
changed to the Holiday Inn Express, 3100 Wellington Place. This meeting formerly was held at
the Best Western, 3900 Milton Ave.
