Hudson, Ohio is a city rich in history and tradition. Its old world charm

Hudson’s Historic Core has earned its place on the National Register
of Historic Places for its amazing architecture and also for the distinct
moments marked in history, which include being a vital link in the
Underground Railroad and home to famous abolitionist John Brown.

Center located at 27 East Main Street (Just across the Village Green
from Hudson’s Restaurant). The Visitor Center is staffed and open for
purchases of Hudson-related merchandise every day from noon to 4:00
p.m. and during special events. Complimentary maps, walking tour
information, business and event information are available in the vestibule.

Community groups join the Hudson High School Swing Marching Band in
a parade through town (along routes 303 and 91). The parade kicks off at
Acme Plaza at 10:00 a.m. and ends in a memorial ceremony at Markillie

MUSIC FESTIVAL
Sundays Memorial Day through Labor day
Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy these free concerts on the gazebo
green every Sunday evening. Concerts start at 7:00 p.m. May through
July and 6:00 p.m. in August and feature music for every taste. Back-up
location in case of rain is the Hudson High School auditorium located at
2400 Hudson-Aurora Road. Sponsored and organized by the Hudson

The Hudson Farmers Market transforms the Village Green every

Playground Palooza is back! Join Friends of Hudson Parks in celebrating new and improved playground equipment at several Hudson parks.
The event kicks off Saturday, June 4 at 10:00 a.m. at Middleton Park,
1738 Middleton Road, with games and frozen treats. At the June 4 event,
guests can learn more about the program in which Palooza participants
(ages 2 through 12) have their “passports” stamped when they visit playgrounds at six Hudson parks. Complete the tour of all six playgrounds and

HUDSON RELAY FOR LIFE
June 11
Join hundreds of supporters at Lavelli Field, 65 N. Hayden Parkway, for
12 hours of activities as funds are raised for the American Cancer Society
and loved ones past and present are supported and remembered for their
fight against cancer. Running from 10:00a.m. to 10:00 p.m., the event
will kick off with opening ceremonies, a survivor lap a luminaria

June 16 – 17
The Hudson Garden Club presents their annual Hudson Home & Garden
Tour. Started in 1946, the tour will showcase eight of the city’s most
notable homes and gardens. Tour hours are 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Thursday, June 16 and 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Friday, June 17. Tickets are
$20 pre-sale and $25 during the event. Presale tickets are available by
mail May 1 - June 1 by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope and
$20 for each ticket to: Ticket Chairman, 205 S. Main St. Hudson, OH
44236 or can be purchased at the Learned Owl Book Shop or Acme Fresh
Market in Hudson May 27 - June 10. During the days of the tour, tickets
can be purchased for $25 at the ticket tent on the Village Green (corner
of East Main and Church Street) and the Garden Shop (at Hudson Middle
School) on Oviatt Street in Hudson. Tickets are cash or check only. The
Hudson Garden Club’s Garden Shop will be open during tour hours at the
Hudson Middle School, featuring many of the plants found on the tour
and other native plants. Also at the school, the popular tea room will be
open 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. offering complimentary iced tea and cookies. The
annual Hudson Home and Garden Tour is organized and sponsored by the

The Clothesline Art Show is sponsored by the Hudson Society of Artists
and runs in conjunction with the Hudson Home and Garden Tour. Held
at the Hudson Middle School Commons, 77 N. Oviatt Street, this free
art show takes place from noon - 5:00 p.m. each day and features over
300 original works of art cleverly displayed by local artists and offered

A tradition started in 1948, the Ice Cream Social will be held on the
Clocktower Green in the center of town from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Enjoy ice

The 9th annual Hudson Wine Festival will showcase over 150 fine wines
and select craft beers and spirits to benefit animal welfare and military
support organizations in Northeast Ohio. The event kicks off along Village
Way in the First & Main Shopping District on Friday, July 15 from 4:00
- 10:00 p.m. and continues Saturday, July 16 from 2:00 - 10:00 p.m. The
festival will feature musical entertainment, food, artists and exhibitors.
Tickets for the tasting area are $22 in advance and $27 at the door and
include 10 tastes and a souvenir glass. Tickets for additional tastes and

August 6-7
Join more than 50 dealers from nine states as they gather for a two-day
show at the Hudson High School. Sponsored by the Hudson High School
PTO, the show runs Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday 10:00
a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Browse a wide range of vintage furniture, collectibles,
glass, silver and more. Refreshments will be available for purchase, and
there is plenty of free parking. Admission is $8, with discount coupons

PACK THE POND
August 8 (Rain date 8/15)
Join Friends of Hudson Parks and Kent State University’s Crooked River
Adventures for the fifth anniversary of Pack the Pond from 5:30 p.m. to
8:00 p.m. All are invited to this family-friendly, end-of-summer event at
Hudson Springs Park. Don’t miss the “Pack the Pond Challenge” in which
as many watercraft as possible will be on the lake at the same time—a
great photo opportunity! Guests are welcome to bring their own boats.
Crooked River Adventures will have kayaks and canoes available to try out
for free, and will also provide instruction in using a stand-up paddleboard.
Participants will be able to enjoy a cookout, educational programs, fly
fishing demonstrations and many other activities. Rain date is August 15.

Art on The Green is a juried fine arts and crafts show featuring more than
140 artists from around the country. Held rain or shine on the southeast

September 1 – November 30
Make fitness fun by getting out to the parks for Friends of Hudson Parks’
fourth annual fall hiking spree. Hikers who complete eight of fourteen
designated trails between September 1 and November 30 will earn prizes
to commemorate the event. Guided hikes will be available Saturday
mornings at 9 a.m., featuring a different park each week (schedule to be

The annual Case Barlow Farm Fall Harvest fest will be held from noon 5:00 p.m. at the farm located at 1931 Barlow Road. Guests will enjoy
