We've begun the final countdown for the seminar year. I hope
your spirits are flying as high as mine are! Career Conference
was amazing! If you missed it, I hope you'll plan on joining us for
Seminar. Registration will begin for everyone before you know it!
Plan today and begin saving. I always come home dreaming big,
setting God-sized goals, and feeling re-energized! You will not
believe the excitement! Dreams are born there! The stories,
training, information, and preparation for what’s coming are key
in making your dreams a reality! This is Mary Kay's 50th
Anniversary! You just can't miss it!
It’s time to spring into success this month. There are so many
women just waiting for the perfect opportunity to come their way,
and with the Start Something Beautiful Promotion, now is the
perfect time! We all could use some extra spending money right
now. Mary Kay makes a great part-time supplemental income in
any household.
How do you spot your next potential recruit? She’ll be a great
hostess who loves our products! The key to a successful team
relationship is in choosing a high caliber woman with whom you
enjoy working. I attended a sister Director's meeting the other
night, and she made a great point about "recruiting". That is what
Mary Kay always called team building. This Director's husband is
a coach and she talked about them scouting out the top athletes
in schools, then they "recruit" them to be on their team. We need
to be doing the same with our business. We need to scout out
quality women and then "recruit" them onto our winning team!
Too often we just want to get the team member and will share the
opportunity with anyone who breathes. I'm not saying that is bad,
I'm just saying, wouldn't you rather have a top quality team from
the start instead of a team that is weak and unmotivated? Just
something to think about!
We begin car re-qualification this month! While the Mustang has
been fun, it is time to move back into the Pink Cadillac! Our goal
is $16,000 wholesale production a month, April through
September, or a total of $96,000. It is going to take each of us
stretching, booking one more appointment, recruiting one more
quality woman on our team. I'm excited about the next few
months as we start the momentum toward becoming a National
Area!
Set your goals, and then plan to make them happen each day! I
know you can do it! I believe in you! You are here for a time such
as this! Make each day count!

If you don’t order a minimum $200 wholesale in a month, you start over with the consistency prizes. (Consistency
starts over every year on July 1st)
Earn the whimsical pattern pink and black mug when you order a consistent $400 wholesale for
3 months. There will be 4 different patterns throughout the year. You will want them all!
We’re aiming for the $300,000 unit club this year!
To keep the goal in front of you, you can earn a bar pin for your retail
sales! Get a $100 bill (fake, of course) for every $100 in retail sales. If
you have $180 in sales, you will only get one $100 bill. I have always
built my business on the “and then some” principle. Just think of the
extra money you’ll earn by getting another $20 order each week. In just
a month you could have another $80-$100 in sales. That adds up in the
course of a year.
When you get 10 bills, you will trade them in for a $1,000 bar pin. Do it
again, and you can turn in the bills and bar pin for a $2,000 bar pin, etc.
You must post your Weekly Accomplishment Sheets online or send them
to me to get your bills.

May 10: Early ordering of the new Summer 2013 promotional items begins for
Star Consultants who qualified during the Dec. 16 – March 15, 2013 quarter and
Consultants who enrolled in The Look for Summer 2013 through PCP. Mary Kay
One Woman Can Makeover Contest submission period and unit challenge ends.
May 12: Mary Kay’s Birthday & Mother’s Day! Mary Kay One Woman Can
Makeover Contest Public Voting begins.
May 15: PCP Last day to enroll online for the Summer Month 2 Mailer. Postmark
deadline for Spring 2013 promotion. Last day for your customers to take
advantage of the Spring 2013 gift-with-purchase offer.
May 16: Summer 2013 promotion begins. Ordering of the new Summer 2013
items available for all Consultants.
May 18: Armed Forces Day
May 20: PCP Summer 2013 customer mailing of The Look begins. (Allow 7-10
business days for delivery.)
May 27: Memorial Day. All Company and branch offices closed. Postal holiday.
Mary Kay One Woman Can Makeover Contest Public Voting ends.
May 30: Last day of the month for Consultants to place telephone orders (until 10
p.m. Central time).
May 31: Last day of the month for Consultants to place online orders (until 9 pm
CST). Last business day of the month. Orders and Agreements submitted by mail
or dropped off at the branches must be received by 7 pm local time to count
toward this month’s production. Online Agreements accepted until midnight CST.
When faced with a business challenge,
evaluate or assess the situation, gather
the good things in sight, abandon the
bad, clear your mind, and move on.
Focus on the positive. Stay in control,
and never panic.
Getting over these unexpected hurdles
may not be exactly enjoyable, but
ultimately I believe that such
challenges and the solutions we find
give us more confidence. They teach
us that, with common sense and
determination, we can turn what looks
like a disaster into a triumph.
