It’s a great time to look over the past year and decide what you want to do differently in the new year. It’s also the perfect time to dream big dreams and map a plan to make them a reality this year. Mary Kay Ash talked a lot about dreams and how you have the power within you to achieve anything you set your mind to. I encourage you to take a moment to check out her quotes on Intouch or pick up one of her books and read her inspiring words. They can give you that extra push to dream a little bigger and shoot for the moon. Remember, your daily habits determine your destiny. Not only is January a great month to revamp your goals, it’s also a great selling month. Lots of women are looking to improve themselves in the new year, and that often means a new look! It’s also a great time to book classes since our schedules have calmed down from the holiday season. Take a day to organize your business, and then go to work. Dust off your profiles, contact each of your customers, and tell them about the exciting new products we have to offer. Remember: Book, coach, sell, and recruit! The basics will take you anywhere you want to go in this business. 2013 is going to be a HUGE year for our Unit and for many of you reading this! We have set a goal to become a National Area by December 31, 2013! That gives us 12 months to get'er done! So, I am so committed to helping you move up the career path and into Directorship! We need 6 new First Line Directors and 9 Second Line Directors. Many women who have become Nationals had the exact same number of Directors needed and have done it! I know we can do it when we work together as a TEAM! If you have $180 in sales, you will only get one $100 bill. I have always built my business on the “and then some” principle. Just think of the extra money you’ll earn by getting another $20 order each week. In just a month you could have another $80-$100 in sales. That adds up in the course of a year. When you get 10 bills, you will trade them in for a $1,000 bar pin. Do it again, and you can turn in the bills and bar pin for a $2,000 bar pin, etc. You must post your Weekly Accomplishment Sheets online or send them to me to get your bills. The comfort zone is all the things we have done often enough to feel comfortable doing again. Whenever we do something new, it falls outside the confines of the comfort zone. Even contemplating the confines of the comfort zone is uncomfortable. In even contemplating feelings, and/or anger-all those emotions we generally think of as “uncomfortable.” When we feel uncomfortable enough long enough, we tend to feel discouraged (a form of exhaustion), and we return to thoughts, feelings, and actions that are more familiar, more practiced, more predictable-more, well, comfortable. The irony is that the feelings we have been taught to label “uncomfortable” are, in fact, among the very tools necessary to fulfill our dreams.
