packing list - Camp Timberlane
WHAT NOT TO BRING!
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
THE FOLLOWING ITEMS HAVE NO PLACE IN CAMP.
PLEASE DO NOT SEND ANY OF THE FOLLOWING
ITEMS TO CAMP WITH YOUR CHILD.
It is essential that each and every article of
clothing, bedding, sports equipment,
flashlight, camera, etc., be marked with your
child’s name in full. This should be done
with woven or washable printed name tapes,
the only safe way to be sure nothing is lost
and for proper identification in the Laundry.
Make sure these are securely sewn. It is
impossible to return lost items when they
are not labeled.
CONFISCATED ITEMS WILL NOT BE RETURNED.
CELLULAR PHONES: Please make sure your
child does not bring a cellular phone or
Blackberry to camp. In the past few years a
few older campers have brought them. If they
bring them- they use them- and we find
them! Confiscated phones WILL NOT be
returned. Please do not let your child bring
one to camp.

Bottled water is not permitted in camp. Camp
has an ultra-modern water filtration system
which delivers superbly healthy (and delicious)
drinking water.
FOOD & CANDY: For safety reasons, campers
and staff are not permitted to bring food,
candy or drinks into camp. We have children
with life threatening food allergies and we do not
want to risk a child having an allergic reaction to
a treat brought into the cabin. Camp Timberlane
is a PEANUT FREE facility.
SAFETY IS OUR NUMBER ONE PRIORITY.
CONSIDERABLE THOUGHT HAS GONE INTO
OUR POLICIES. WE ASK ALL PARENTS AND
STAFF TO SUPPORT OUR POLICIES AND HELP
KEEP OUR CHILDREN BOTH SAFE AND
HEALTHY.
All clothing, bedding and personal effects
should be packed in duffle bags for simple
handling. Duffle’s should be securely closed
and well tagged with the campers baggage
tags, which are mailed to you early in June.
Each camper must be restricted to two
duffles. Tennis equipment, fishing rods and
musical instruments may be carried on to
the bus.
Clothing & Equipment List
We do our utmost to see that the children
receive all of their laundry back and also that
they return home with all of the clothing and
equipment they brought. However we regret
that we are unable to assume any
responsibility for clothing lost in the laundry
or anything mislaid at camp.

WHAT TO PACK...
TOILET KIT
This clothing list is only a guide. You
need not follow it precisely. At
Timberlane, we believe that camp is
the place for sensible, comfortable &
casual clothing. Most campers bring far
too much. SHELF SPACE IS LIMITED.
Everyone must wear white for Friday
evenings. Laundry is done once a week
and is a one day service. The clothes
are washed, dried and folded, but not
ironed. Please do not send any clothing
that requires special laundering.
