The roll-up cushioned arms are the perfect height for your dog to rest their
head and neck and all our dog beds are built for practicality and longevity. We
use the same high quality materials and techniques used to make our full size
Claridge Chesterfield range. All of our Dog Beds are made in our workshop
using similar timber frame construction and leather as standard. The leather
we use as standard has been rigorously tested with dogs over a number of
years.
As with our standard range of furniture, we are able to produce our dog
beds to our customers’ specifications. We are able to accommodate
requests for differing sizes, materials or space for multiple dogs.

The majority of our collections are based on traditional
reproduction English furniture, however we have a capable
team who are able to commission bespoke furniture
in response to design briefs given by our clients and
also based on alterations from our existing collections.

Every bespoke project we embark on is different and involves a
number of processes, some of which seem complicated, others
not, but in our experience all need to be treated with the same
degree of attention to detail. Our highly trained craftsman and
design team will ensure that your needs are met, whether that
be with regards to a specific design, material, shape or size.
As an extension of our bespoke service, as previously stated in
our catalouge, any of our models can be altered and made with
varying features, whether that be a different leg type,
seat type, wing type or even a different material.
We can also offer a full restoration service on any
piece of furniture regardless of age or condition.
Our bespoke range doesn’t stop with chairs, settees
and stools, in fact, we have been commissioned
on a wide variety of projects involving all types of
woodwork and upholstery from cabinets to sports car seats
to tables. If you have a project you would like undertaking
then be assured that we can offer you a professional service
to ensure your furniture is delivered to your satisfaction.

As such, over the last several years we have brought the expertise in
house and we now have a fully functioning timber furniture frame making
workshop, capable of producing high quality timber furniture frames
in a timely manner, at a lower cost and to whichever design we require.
This has meant we are able to ensure our clients needs are met with
regards to design and allows us to keep our prices competitive.
All of our timber furniture frames are made from solid beech and
incorporate show mahogany where neccessary. They are fitted
together securely using the appropriate timber joints, screws, dowels and
glue to ensure our frames are as strong as possible before they leave our
workshop.
Our timber furniture frames have proved such a success that we have now
started supplying other upholstery companies who faced similar issues as
Claridge Upholstery but did not have the need or capability of bringing
the frame making aspect of our industry in-house. If you require, timber
furniture frames, whether it be a whole range of chairs and settees or simply a
bespoke one off, please do not hesitate to get in touch. We are able to produce
frames quickly and to order. We are happy to use the designs we already have
at our disposal or work on existing designs that you may have at your disposal,
whether that be in drawing form or from copying an existing piece of furniture.
Since the business was established in 1983, Claridge Upholstery has
depended on third party organisations for the delivery of high quality
timber furniture frames. However, one of the biggest challenges we faced
as an organisation was ensuring the timber furniture frames we ordered
arrived on time and to the quality we exepected. Further to this requirement, with our ever growing bespoke service, third party organisations would
often be unable to carry out unique designs or charge an unrealistic premium.

Claridge Upholstery Company Limited has been established since 1983 where it has been
manufacturing hand made leather reproduction furniture of the highest quality. In recent years,
we have expanded our knowledge base within the company and brought in qualified frame
makers. This has ensured that the timber furniture frames used in our furniture are always
available and of the highest quality. This has also meant that we are able to produce every piece of
furniture in-house, without the need to out source. In doing this, you can be assured that when you
buy a Claridge piece of furniture, great care has been taken to ensure it is of the highest quality.

their work. We use only the finest leather, springs and materials and our frames are
solid beech with the majority of the show wood being mahogany, giving our
products a look of days gone by yet with all the modern techniques for quality and comfort.
We export regularly worldwide and have built friendly relationships all over the globe. We can
also manufacture our furniture in customer’s own materials and produce one-off pieces for
our clients. All of the pieces that are on display in this catalogue can be customised to reflect
