Cosmodôme
Home of the Space Science Centre and Space Camp, the
Cosmodôme leads visitors on a journey through the conquest of
space. History, technology, science, workshops, and simulations all
come together for a unique celestial experience!
Open to all, the Space Science Centre offers a great opportunity to
learn more about astronautics, telecommunications, remote sensing,
the Moon, and the solar system. The Centre also showcases artefacts
from NASA. The current exhibition, which runs until June 2011, will
be completely revamped in an effort to provide visitors with a unique
and interactive experience starting in the fall of 2011. The Space
Camp offers youngsters and groups a glimpse of real-life astronaut
training on NASA-like simulators. And it’s all under one roof!

Musée Armand-Frappier has successfully popularized biosciences
and biotechnologies. As its name suggests, the museum also
showcases the major contribution made by Dr. Armand Frappier to

Parc de la Rivière-des-Mille-Îles (Mille-Îles River Park)
Parc de la Rivière-des-Mille-Îles, which includes a well-known wildlife
sanctuary, is the largest natural park in the Montreal metropolitan
area. It’s the starting point for ecological tours in rental canoes,
kayaks, motor launches, and pedal boats.
Croisières dans les îles (Pontoon tours around the islands)
Take a step back in time and relive the early days of the 20th
century on the river aboard the Héron Bleu pontoon boat. Featuring

Originally settled by the Jesuits, who received the island on which
Laval is located (Île Jésus) as a gift, the city has a rich historic,
cultural, architectural and religious heritage. Many famous figures
were born here, including Louis-Joseph Papineau, head of the
Patriotes movement, Curé Antoine Labelle, who helped to colonize
the Laurentian region, and painter Marc-Aurèle Fortin. Of particular
note are the Old Sainte-Rose and Old Saint-Vincent historic districts
that have striven to maintain their traditional cachet.
