Membership Meeting Minutes – April 4, 2013
Meeting was called to order.
Secretary’s Report
March’s membership meeting minutes were approved as
published in the newsletter. March’s board meeting minutes
were read.
Treasurer’s Report
March’s financial report was given.
Membership
Prospective new members were introduced and welcomed.
Paul Thiel said a 50/50 raffle would be held, with the drawing
to take place shortly after the meeting ends.
President’s Report
Yard
Don Stanislawski said that because our yard has been so wet
that he might have to shut it down for a bit so it can dry out.
If the yard is closed, it will be posted on the website.
Building Cleaning
Don also said there will be some chances to clean at the
building coming up. Dates are Friday, April 12, and Tuesday,
April 16. He starts about 9 a.m. Give him a call if you are
interested in cleaning and if you would like to know of other
times that it can be done.
Spring Show
Obedience and Rally Trials
Paul Thiel sent around a sign-up sheet for those interested in
helping the day of our trials on Sunday, May 19. Paul also
reminded everyone that the OB/Rally trials will be held at the
Oshkosh Kennel Club and NOT at the fairgrounds.
(Monday, May 27) and the Flag Day Parade. This year’s Flag
Day Parade will be held in Appleton on Saturday, June 8.
Boutique
Christina also showed the members present the club’s new
training T-shirts. They are available in two designs: hot pink
or blue tie-dye.
Old Business
Front Room Lighting
Don asked the members present their opinions of the new
light fixtures that were installed in the front room. Many
commented that they were a big improvement over the old
ones.
Cookbooks
Don also mentioned that the club has cookbooks for sale.
You can purchase one or more after the meeting from Mike
and Rachael Koontz.
New Business
Building Lighting
Don said that, as long as most of the members were pleased
with the new lighting, he had a quote for the rest of the
lighting. He asked the members if they thought it would be
worth it at this time to finish the job in the front room. A
motion could be made to do so, and one was.
Motion: Replace the remaining light fixtures with the
new ones in the front room for a quoted price of $1,050.
(Approved)
Cry and brag was conducted.
Motion made and approved to adjourn.
Food
Becky Reider said she won’t be able to do the food for the
judges and workers this year, and she is looking for someone
to help. She has everything needed to do this, and you won’t
be alone. You will be working with Lori Piette, who has done
hospitality with Becky for years. Please contact Becky if you
can help.
Conformation Stewards
Gail VanDenLangenberg sent around a sign-up sheet for
stewards for our Spring Show. Kim Polasek is our chief ring
steward, and she will be needing help all day. If you are
showing, she will work around your schedule.
Parades
Christina Burhans said she has information for two upcoming
parades: the Neenah-Menasha Memorial Day Parade
Respectfully Submitted,

Cirrus Earns His Second Master Agility Excellent Preferred Title
Cirrus Sky Dancer CD RAE MXP2 MJP2 CGC EAS TG-N WV-O NJC TN-N HP-N NW1 (Cirrus)
German Shepherd Dog
Adopted and loved by Jody Hergert-Andresen
Cirrus and I completed our MXP2 (Master Agility Excellent Preferred) title in
AKC agility. The "2" means that we have earned the title twice. The MXP
title requires 10 scores of 100 out of a possible 100 points at the Master
Standard level. We also placed in nine out of our 10 runs with six first places
and three third places!
Cirrus is smart, sweet and a joy to work and play with. I couldn't ask for a
better partner in competition.

A current Yard Permit is required to use the club’s front and back fenced yards. The permits change yearly.
The 2013 Yard Permits are navy blue. ALL CLUB MEMBERS MUST HAVE NEW PERMITS BY MAY 1.
Please discard your red 2012 permit and place the new navy blue permit in the clear plastic pocket
hanger. Hang it from your rearview mirror while using the yard. If you bike or walk to the club,
carry the permit with you.
Please keep the pocket hanger for future use.
Household Memberships may have two FREE permits. Single memberships may have one FREE
permit. Extra permits are $1 each, and extra plastic hangers are $2 each. If your permit is damaged
or stolen, replacement permits can be obtained for a $3 fee ($1 for permit and $2 for hanger).
If you get a new license plate number, you will need to get a new permit.
We need your help – please help enforce the yard-use policy! Look at the yard users’ cars to make
sure a current yard permit is displayed. If someone using the yard doesn’t have a permit, please
courteously ask them if they are WDC members. If they are not members, tell them the yards are
for MEMBERS ONLY and tell them how they can become a WDC member. If someone is abusing the
posted rules, give the license plate number and complaint to any board member or Linda Allen.
Feedback/concerns/suggestions … contact Linda Allen or any board member.
To obtain a yard permit, complete the application below and bring with you to the membership meeting, where Linda
or Michael Allen will be on hand to distribute permits, or mail the completed application with a stamped, self-addressed
#10 envelope to Linda at the address on the form.
Please review and adhere to the yard rules posted on the WDC website
