FFKDA PRESIDENT’S WELCOMING
It is both on honour and pleasure to greet you on the behalf of the
French Karate Federation within the framework Kyokushin Karate
European Open which will be held on 28th November, 2009 in
PARIS, the capital of France.
This is the first Kyokushin Open that we are going to welcome. Thus, we will reserve
for all participants warmest welcome throughout this Open.
As you can notice during your coming, Paris owns a very rich cultural heritage with
many famous monuments and numerous sports infrastructures convenient to the
organization of great sports events.
As host country, we will do our best to make this Tournament memorable for all of
you.
I wish good luck to all competitors which will participate at this Open. I hope that you
will be satisfied with your stay in Paris.

EKKO PRESIDENT’S WELCOMING
Osu,
Welcome everyone to the " European Open Weight Categories Kyokushin Karate
Tournament " for Men, Women, and Juniors, Kumite and Kata.
It is a great pleasure to present for the first time to all of you this event in Paris.
France, a country with so long experience in Martial Arts specially in Karate, is
organizing in co-operation with the French Karate Federation and European
Kyokushin Karate Organisation this tournament. We hope that all spectators today
will enjoy this unique competition of Kyokushin karate.
Many thanks to the President of the French Karate Federation, Mr. Francis Didier, for
helping to make this competition possible, to our IKO President Kancho Matsui for
attending and preside today, as well to IKO Adviser S.Loek Hollander and General
Secretary S.K.Gorai.
I would like to extend my thanks to the EKKO Board and French Kyokushin
Organisation for all the hard work done to make this event possible today.
I wish good luck to all the participants and officials, thank you to all of you.

VISA REQUIREMENTS
Citizens of EU and EEA: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic,
Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy,
Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, Poland, Portugal,
Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, The Netherlands and United Kingdom
are free to enter France. The required travel document for entry is a national ID
card or passport. The bases for their stay in France are regulated by the Citizen of
European Union Act.
The holders of passports of the following countries do not need a visa to enter
France for stays of no more than three months in a 6 months period: Andorra,
Croatia, Israel, Monaco, San Marino and Switzerland.
The following countries require a visa even for a period of less than 90 days:
Armenia, Belarus, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Georgia, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine.
For those countries, entry visas can be obtained from any French consular authority.

CHAMPIONSHIPS VENUE
The Championships will take place in Institut National du Judo Sports hall (INJ),
Paris, on 28th November 2009. It is situated in the 14th district, 6 kilometers far from
the city center.

The deadline for the registration is the 30th of October 2009.
All delegations are kindly requested to fill in the attached Competition Entry Forms
p18, and return it to the French Karate Federation within the set time frames.

Registration/accreditation of all athletes and officials will take place in the MERCURE
HOTEL PORTE D’ORLEANS (“Trevise room” – ground floor), on Friday 27th
November 2009 from 2pm to 8pm.

(!) Each participating country is requested to provide a national flag and CD with the
national anthem.
ENTRY FEES
Each athlete has to pay 25€ of entry fees to Sensei FISCHER (treasurer of the
EKKO) to participate at the tournament.
You have to pay entry fees during the day of registration, on 27th November 2009, in
the Mercure Hotel Porte d’Orléans.
INSURANCE
All participants and members of delegations must effect their own medical insurance
and personal trip insurance. The French Karate Federation and European Karate
Federation are taking no liability for these concepts.

The deadline to finalize the booking will be on October 05th, 2009. After this date,
the rate of the rooms will be increased by 15 %.
Thank you to complete and return the “Booking form”, first step to engage the
booking process.
The reservation will be confirmed at the reception of a deposit corresponding to
50% of the total amount.
PAYMENT:
You will have to pay the down payment maximum two weeks before your arrival:
November 13th , 2009.
In case of late reservation, after October 05th, 2009, the reservation will be confirmed

You have the possibility to modify or cancel the number of participants or the lenght of
the stay until October, 22nd without any penalty fees.
- From October 23th to November 05th 2009, 25% of cancellation will be due for
payment.
- From October 06th to November 20th 2009, 50% of cancellation will be due for
payment.
- From November, 21st 2009 : 100% of cancellation will be due for payment
AIRPORT SHUTTLE
A system of transportation will be organized to transfer your delegation from airport (or
train station) of arrival to your accommodation place, as well as your return transfer to
the airport or train station. Those transfers will have to be paid by delegations
participating to the competition.
