PRO TOUR 2009
In 2009 IKD will introduce the Rotax
Pro Tour. The Pro Tour will be four to six
individual race meetings held at top circuits
along the eastern sea board of Australia.
The Pro Tour will commence in May of
2009. Details will be published on the IKD
web site and in Kart Magazine when finalised.
Each of the events, although separate race meetings (the Pro Tour is not
a series), will be Level 2 National Rotax Rankings events.
The Pro Tour will be designed to ‘lift the bar’ for kart race meetings in
Australia. The meetings will be run by the clock, will use transponders,
will offer heaps of practice, racing and prizes and will be designed to
provide the highest levels of competition possible to hone your skills.
Only five classes will be offered:
Junior Rotax
Rotax Light
Rotax Heavy
Rotax Over 35
Open (DD2 engines only)
The Pro Tour will be an integral part of the selection process (via the
rankings system) for determining the invitees to the 2009 Rotax Max
Challenge Grand Final.
In 2009 the rankings system will be slightly modified to include the Pro
Tour as follows;
Level 1 – Rotax Nationals, Level 2 – Pro Tour, Level 3 – State Titles,
Level 4 – all other events.

Introduction
The Rotax Racer Rewards program is an innovation of International
Karting Distributors - the Australian distributor of Rotax Kart Engines.
This program rewards karters that commit to competing in Rotax classes.
The rewards program is tied to another IKD innovation - the National
Rotax Rankings. The rankings provide a mechanism to measure individual
karters performance relative to other competitors without competing
directly against them, in much the same way as tennis rankings.
As you compete in Rotax events your results contribute directly to your
ranking. As your ranking points increase so do your Rotax Racer Rewards
points. Each point you gain in the National Rotax Rankings equals one
Rotax Racer Rewards point. Rotax Racer Rewards points are different on
one respect, they only last for one year, on 31st December of each year
your Rotax Rewards Points automatically drop to zero.
Each time you redeem Rotax Racer Rewards points for product your points
balance will be reduced by the amount associated with the product(s)
you have selected. A minimum of 1,500 points is required to make a
redemption.
Redeeming points for product does not change your ranking as your
‘Rotax Racer Rewards points’ are maintained separately and will
fluctuate as you redeem points and accumulate new ones.
In order to redeem points, you must download and complete the Rotax
Racer Rewards redemption form. This form is located on the IKD web site
at www.rotax.com.au.
Once complete with your selection, fax the form to IKD at (02) 47351065 or via post (address on rear of this book). Your redemption order
will be delivered to the IKD reseller you nominate on your form. Please
make sure you read the terms and conditions listed at the rear of this
book.

and email address allow IKD to communicate with competitors during the

National Rotax Rankings 2009
In 2009 the National Rotax Rankings system will be modified slightly. This is to
include the Pro Tour and to remove the requirement for event sanctioning as
from 1st January 2009 all events will be sanctioned. NOTE: Only the top ten
finishers in the final gain points. Please see the 2009 NRR rules, available from
the IKD web site.
There will be four levels of NRR meetings as follows:
Level 1 - Rotax National Championships
Level 2 - Rotax Pro Tour
Level 3 - State Open Sprint Championship
Level 4 - Other type of meeting with 8 or more entries in the class
• Endurance races may be included in which case all drivers from within any
given team will receive the points. Example, if it is a level 4 event all drivers
in the winning team will get 30 points (before multiplying by number of
entries).
• Any Senior event with less than 8 entries will not be eligible to receive points
• Points will only be awarded for classes run at the AKA manual weight for
the class, Over 35’s results will be accepted regardless of the age or weight
division
• Junior Rotax drivers will be eligible to receive points regardless of the
number of entries for 2009

Rotax Club Rewards
In conjunction with the Rotax Racer Rewards program, IKD will be
initiating a rewards program for AKA affiliated clubs that offer Rotax
classes according to the AKA manual.
Under this program clubs can accumulate points for use as part of their
club championships or for other promotional purposes.
In order to be eligible for points, clubs must offer Rotax Light, Rotax
Heavy or Junior Max as separate classes according to the AKA manual.
This means that they must run on their class tyres and not as any
derivative class such as TAG, nor can they be combined and run at an
intermediate weight.
Points will be awarded to clubs based upon the following criteria:

• Rotax Racer Rewards and Rotax Club Rewards programs commence 1st
January 2009. Rankings scored prior to 1st January 2009 DO NOT
transfer to the Rotax Racer Rewards scheme.
• Rotax Racer Reward points can only be redeemed for products listed in
this book.
• Points cannot be redeemed for cash.
• Each Rotax Racer Rewards redemption must be for a minimum of 1,500
points. Redemptions can be spread over multiple products to reach
1,500. This means you must have a minimum of 1,500 points before you
can redeem any points.
• Rotax Racer Rewards redemptions must be via a correctly completed
Rotax Racer Rewards Redemption form which is available for download
from the International Karting Distributors (“IKD”) web site, incorrectly
completed forms will not be processed. Verifyable idendification must be
provided with all redemptions (drivers license, passport or AKA license.
• Each Rotax Club Rewards redemption must be for a minimum of 1,000
points. Redemptions can be spread over multiple products to reach
1,000.
• Rotax Club Rewards redemptions must be via a correctly completed Rotax
Club Rewards Redemption form which is available for download from
the IKD web site, incorrectly completed forms will not be processed.
• Rotax Racer Rewards points are accumulated on a class by class basis
per competitor.
• Once a redemption has commenced no changes are permitted.
• Product cannot be returned or exchanged once selected and shipped.
• The Rotax Racer Rewards program is only open to competitors with
registered Rotax engines.
• Competitors can only accrue points under the name in which their AKA
license is issued.
• Delivery of redeemed goods will be via a nominated IKD reseller only
and will be delivered with the nominated IKD resellers next order.
• Rotax Racer Rewards points expire at 31st December of each year.
• Rotax Club Rewards points expire at 31st December of each year.
• Rotax Racer Rewards points cannot be combined with another
competitors.

Redemptions are subject to product availability. No product redemptions
are backordered. Any issues relating to points redemption will be
handled by email ONLY.
All claims made by clubs under the Rotax Club Rewards scheme must be
verifiable by IKD. Unverified points claims will not be processed.
Involvement in the Rotax Racer Rewards program is open only to
individuals, it is not open to families, groups, companies, trusts,
partnerships, other entities, government departments, agencies, animals
or inanimate objects.
Involvement in the Rotax Club Rewards program is open only to AKA
affiliated clubs. IKD will, in it’s sole discretion, determine eligibility.
If, in the opinion of IKD, the terms and conditions of the Rotax Racer
Rewards program or terms and conditions of the National Rotax Ranking
system are breached by a competitor, the points associated with that
competitor under the Rotax Racer Reward scheme and/or the National
Rotax Rankings scheme will be nullified.
If, in the opinion of IKD, the terms and conditions of the Rotax Club
Rewards program are breached by aclub, the points associated with
that club under the Rotax Club Reward scheme will be nullified.
IKD reserves the sole right to make changes to the ways in which points are
earned and redeemed including but not limited to;
• Point earning and redeeming rates and products;
• Restrictions or conditions;
• Level requirements and benefits;
• The expiry of accrued Points;
The Rotax Racer Rewards and/or Rotax Club Rewards programs may be
terminated at any time without notice by IKD. If the programs are terminated
no further points redemption will occur as of the date of termination.
