Shuga Volumizing Mousse and Shuga Gel Creme were applied to her naturally wavy mane, which was then blow-dried straight using a medium brush with “lots of heat and stretching to straighten it,” he says. “Then we used a flatiron to smooth it out and create a silky look.” Beauty Essentials Dr. Sheral Shah, 3 0 | Tyler Presley S alon Plum ❸ MAC Lip Pencil Aplum ❷ Lancôme Powder Blush Black Zoom ❶ MAC Lash Mascara FROM SUBTLE TO SASSY Dr. Sheral Shah, 30, anatomy professor. “I was hoping for a completely different look,” she says. Her outfit was complemented with jewelry and accessories by the salon’s Bella Blondes Boutique. “The haircut was the most drastic change for me. I have 60 students, and at the end of the first week some of them had copied my cut. I was like a trend-setter!” 60 T h e B o c a R at o n Ob s e r v e r April 2011 61 Beauty Essentials Faced Pink ❶ Too Leopard Bronzing Powder Shaper ❷ Label.m by Toni And Guy Nutritive ❸ Kérastase Oléo-Relax Serum Mane Event To add brightness and draw attention to her eyes, hair colorist Aaron Knox used Goldwell color to take Kristen’s natural base two levels deeper.
