First annual Ironstone Derby
And they’re off... Ironstone Farm on May 3, 2014 launched its
first Ironstone Derby.
The Ironstone Derby is now an annual road race and Kentucky
Derby party on the day of the Kentucky Derby horse race. The
slogan? Run for the Roses, Stay for the Party!
This year people could choose a 5-mile run or a 2-mile walk
through Lowell, beginning and ending at LeLacheur Park, the
home of the Lowell Spinners baseball team, a Single A Red
Sox affiliate. After the races, people enjoyed an all-you-can eat

The second Ironstone Derby will be May 2, 2015 - the day of
the 2015 Kentucky Derby.
