With four days left to go until Hoochie Coochie’s biggest ever event, 'Circus Child Ball'
will be a fantastical extravaganza. It takes place on Saturday 1st September in the vast
Creative Commons Big Top next to Temple Meads.
Circus Child is bringing a festival atmosphere to the city, more attractions are constantly
being added. Here is an update on what delights are in store.
Performance
The main stage show will feature the crème de la creme of show people performing
surreal cabaret and high octane circus.
Throughout the evening bizarre and beautiful installations accompany the legendary
Bang DJs to create a spectacular immersive party environment. Installations include a
pole dancing unicorn, mini bike dancers, gogo dancers, the enchanting “squares” and a
miniature fetish queen
Featured Artists: Les Velobici
Les Velobici are the newest addition to the Hoochie stable of artists. We have just fallen
in love with this all girl mini bike troupe of bootytastic dancers.
Their Act is simple yet delightful, look out for them roaming the big top on their mini
bikes as well as performing on the main stage. We hope to be seeing a lot more of
Velobici at Hoochie events.
Esmeralda’s Emporium of Vanity and The Invisible Photo
Booth
Esmeralda’s Emporium of Vanity is a beautiful vintage wagon which promises “titillation
of wild vanities and narcissism”. Emse and her team will be on hand throughout the night
to make you sparkle with glamour
Gastronomy
And so you can really make an evening of it there are some wonderful dining
opportunities. We will have stalls from The Glorious Oyster Company, Pizza Monkey’s
wood fired pizza and Copoazu 100% ice creams, gelati and sorbets.
Tickets
Advance booking is always recommended for Hoochie Coochie events, however due to
the vast capacity of the big top we are likely to have tickets available on the door.
