The Sling Shot Report
To community members, courtiers, friends and family,
This past month has certainly been filled with many interesting moments and memories that
we will take with us in our lives.
First I would like to thank everyone who helped with AIDS Awareness Week, either by
donating food, raffles or your time to help to reach our goal. We raised $5,202.00 this year for
our AIDS Fund! I want to thank all of you who took the opportunity to give a little which in
turn made a huge difference. Team work made the dream work.
Traveling to Denver was absolutely amazing, unfortunately because of the weather some of
our friends across the circuit were unable to make it, so SALT LAKE CITY had to bring the
party! We represented our court very well for our final walk this year as the top 6. We got to
see Emperor Richard and Empress Gabriella step down after a great and fun filled year. We
were proud to meet the new monarchs Emperor Manny and Empress Norrie, we welcome
them and wish them a fun and successful year as well.
There were many other events that happens this month which I heard dos fantastic and really
helped our community. Unfortunately I was unable to attend due to my grandmother passing
and me spending time with her in her final days. I will truly miss her because she loved
everyone, even if you were the worst person she loved them. I want to thank the court for the
flowers, as well as all the wishes and prayers that helped me and my family through the past
few weeks.
You all mean the world to me and I hope that we can finish the next few months up to
coronation on the same high note that we have been on since the beginning.
C'mon 40!

Greetings RCGE, Friends, Family, College Members and Guests,
April is here and with April shows soon we will get May flowers!
I would like to congratulate Nate and everyone who helped with AIDS week on a very successful and
fun week. There were great events and a great opportunity for us to get out there and bring awareness and
raise some money for the AIDS fund.
I had the great opportunity to attend Denver Coronation with our King and Queen of Hearts Kayden
and Vega, Triple Decade Emperor Scott Stites, Emperor 36 Mike Bennion, Crown Prince 40 Erik Shaylee,
Crown Princess 40 Kery Shaylee, Prince Royale 40 Kristen Thomas, Princess Royale 30 &40 Kennedy
Cartier, and My Emperor Nathan Graham. What a fun and memorable time we had. One thing was for sure
everyone knew when Salt Lake was around. We had the opportunity to meet many new people and see some
familiar faces. The top 6 attended our first out of state coronation together in Boise and it was such a
momentous time to be able to all walk together in unity at our last out of state coronation in Denver. I also
was able to see another one of my sister Empress, Scarlett Fever celebrate her Decade Anniversary. In
addition one of my dear friends of many years was crowned as Emperor 43 Mr. Manny Sexton and his
Empress Norrie Reynolds.
We have a packed month ahead of us with many events planned that we hope you will be able to
attend as we celebrate our reign coming to an end and we gear up for coronation in May as well as the
excitement of a New reign to carry on the traditions of the RCGSE.
A Coronation trifold is included in this month’s newsletter if you have any questions about the events
and cost. Nate and I really wanted to make the weekend as affordable as possible so that as many as possible
would be able to attend as we continuously hear how expensive these coronations are. We hope that our
efforts will make it easier for our court members especially to be able to attend. We are very excited and
working very hard to plan a fun and eventful weekend for all to enjoy and we certainly hope you all will be
able to attend.
Without YOU there is no way Reign 40 could have been successful this year
and I wake up every day thankful for this opportunity you have granted me and I
will forever hold this time in my heart always
C’MON 40!!!!

Dear friends,
We are as of right now winding down to the end of this glorious reign, but we are not
done just yet. KT and I along with our magnificent co-chairs (Paris and Mama Hell) are
putting together what we know will be a magnificent PR Ball and we hope that you all
along with your friends will be in attendance. The date is set for May 27th, doors at
6PM, and show at 7PM and the cost is $15 at the door. However, please keep in mind
the discounted tickets for all events over Coronation weekend if bought in advance is
only $70 total. Way below the “Coronation” average across the circuit. As my Prince
would say: #dropsmic!
Now that I am through with that “plug, as I sit back and reflect on what has transpired to
date, I feel very fortunate to have been able to rein with 5 outstanding individuals. I will
save the heartfelt tributes for my step-down letter, but the weekend in Denver will never
be forgotten. I left with my heart truly full (even though you drew on my face while I
was blissfully sawing logs, I still love your guts)! Now that is saying something! 

Greetings RCGSE Family and Friends,
The quote for this month that I would like to share with you is from Mahatma Gandhi. Gandhi led India to
independence and inspired movements for civil rights and freedom across the world
“You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean
does not become dirty.”
“Power is of two kinds. One is obtained by the fear of punishment and the other by acts of love. Power based
on love is a thousand times more effective and permanent then the one derived from fear of punishment”
-Mahatma Gandhi
Also anyone interested in hosting an event that is needing the court sound system please

Vol. II
What another great month this has been! March has flown by and we are entering into APRIL!
Hopefully we will start to see those flowers bloom and warmer weather just around the corner.
March was full of events as Emperor 40 completed his annual AIDS Awareness week. This
is such a great experience to see the community come out, commemorate their friends and to help
raise money for research and a cure. I am grateful to be a part of this week and it is something that
I will keep close to me.
We had some great shows that were hosted through the month and I would like to
congratulate them on a job well done. Being able to benefit only the RCGSE but local non-profits
in our area is good work.
Lastly, I just wanted to let you know how much fun Denver was. The Top 6, our King of
Heart Kain Starr, Queen of Hearts Vega Starr, Emperor 10 Scott Stites and Emperor 36 Michael
Bennion had such an amazing time. It was such a fun weekend. I am pretty sure we left a mark on
Denver. As I told Krystyna it was an amazing feeling to say that we were all able to walk together
in Boise to start the reign and it was amazing to have us all walk at our last out of town walk
together. We have learned and we have all grown in these last 10 months.
We still have some growing to do in the last couple months and I can’t wait to see what
April has in store for us.
With Love,
