President’s Message
The 100th day of school has come and gone, and we are now looking forward
to an exciting spring at Fred. Our next two events are coming up next week Kids Movie Night for kids and their families, and a conversation for the adults
only with our principal Holly Scroggins about our peacemaker conflict
resolution program and how Fred deals with issues around bullying. Details are
below. Please join us for both.
Do you have a little time to help out? We need some help from a few parents.
Each year we have a raffle at the end of the year that is a favorite among kids
(and families), and is a big fundraiser for the school. The money raised goes
directly to buying supplies for the teachers and kids and funding assemblies
that the district no longer pays for. Last year’s coordinator is available to show
what needs to be done, and instructions and template letters are already all set
up. This is a wonderful way to volunteer some time that will have a very
positive impact. Without the raffle, we will have to reduce our spending on
these critical things next year. If you have time please consider volunteering as
the Lead for this great event, or as a co-Lead
co
with a friend or two. Work for
this event will begin in March. There are over 1,200 parents and guardians at
Fred, and we only need 1 or 2 adults to help us lead this great fundraiser.
Send an email to [email protected] if you can spare the time to help out your
school and your kid(s). If your interested but would like to know more before
making a commitment, let us know also. Thanks!
