Frank Thomas Barron was born in Whitchurch in 1883. Son to Alice and
Thomas Barron. Brother to Margaret Alice born 1885, Edith Mary born
1887 and Clare Jessie born 1889. Resided at 9 St Mary’s Street in
Whitchurch, Shropshire. Frank was a Church Lads Brigade member.
On 21st September 1914, Frank was enlisted as Private in the British
Army serving in the 16th Battalion King’s Royal Rifle Corps.
On 15th July 1916, Frank died of wounds at the Somme.
