GARDENS
OF BABYLON
Delve back in time for garden
inspiration: Chesney's new
architectural courtyard in Battersea
is just the place to start. The space
behind the showroom has been
transformed with marble and
stone creations, from a lion's head
fountain to a rippling sculpted
torso that wouldn't look out of place
alongside the Elgin Marbles. While
we might not be able to recreate
the Mediterranean climate so easily,
one of Matthew Hilton's elegant
firepits will do nicely. Inspired by
the sculptures of Hepworth and Brancui,
it's powered by ethanol, so no mess to clear
up. chesneysarchitectural.co.uk
BIRTHDAY BUNCH
Nothing says happy
birthday like a big vase
of flowers, so it's only
fitting that McQueens
unveils a limited-edition
vase to mark its 25th
year in the floristry
business. Coming in
two sizes, the pared
back design lets the
flowers do the talking.
Handmade in Kathryn
Sheriff's ceramics studio
from fine porcelain, each
is different from the
next, distinguished by
the tool-markings unique
to the potter. From £20.

 TOP TAPS
Haute jewellery is behind Waterworks' latest
collection. Isla was designed by New York
jeweller and sculptor Jill Platner. Each piece
began life as a hand-carved wax model,
before being converted by 30 scanning to
bring to life the intricacies of her design. The
result? Satisfyingly chunky, tactile geometric
fittings, in chrome, burnished nickel and
brass. £7,863, plus vat. uk.waterworks.com

HAUTE HOUSE
Christian Dior's first boutique on Avenue Montaigne was designed as a space
devoted to his taste in art de vivre and the art of entertaining. The maison
returns to this idea with a new iteration at its New Bond Street shop: Dior
Home. The collection imitates his residences in Paris, Milly-la-Foret, and La
Colle Noire in Provence, featuring limited-edition pieces from
Lucie de la Falaise, India Mahdavi and Hubert le
Gall. From chic glassware to hand-embroidered
linens, we love Giberto Arrivabene's rose pink
glasses best. dior.com
