What’s new
Which brand new features can we find in Visual Chart V?
INTERFACE
It presents a lively, intuitive and attractive aspect. Its main characteristics are the possible change of visual
topic and its color combinations.
ZOOM
It enables to zoom in and zoom out the charts of the quote’ lists, by left
clicking the icon, and dragging without releasing it, towards the required
percentage.

What’s new
1 The traditional menus and toolbars have been replaced by the options
ribbon, which presents the commands organized by groups.
Each group contains the related commands.

What’s new
NEW TRADING FEATURES
More information about the state of our portfolio and new orders
(OCO, OSO, Bracket, …).
OCO (Order Cancel Order). These types of orders include a stop
and a limit. When one of the orders is filled, the other one is
automatically canceled.
OSO (Order Send Order). The sending of an order depends on
the execution of another one. Therefore, the filling of the first order
triggers the second order.
Bracket Order. Sends a market order along with a target profit and
a stop loss order.
BROKER ACCESS
You can check all the information related to your portfolio, and filter
it according to your needs: by date, markets, operator …
NEW ALERTS SYSTEM
The user can receive alerts through popup windows when specific
events occur (prices alerts, events related with intermediation like
cancelations, executions, etc…)

Next to the properties panel we can find the Alerts flap, which
has the last events historic.

What’s new
Intelligent INDICATORS
Through the color configuration of the indicators, you can determine the situation or
evolution of a certain asset. In the image on the right, the volume indicator´s bars are
painted in a different color, depending on their amount of volume related to the previous
bars. If it is superior to the previous bar, the color is green, if it is inferior, red.

1. - Open a web browser and enter www.visualchart.com.
2. - Click the option Products and Services situated on the header.

3. - In the new page, click the button Download, located at the left side. You will be
taken to another page where you can find the different available products.
4. - Click the button Download to start Visual Chart V installation.
5. - Once the downloading process is finished, click twice the icon in order to install
Visual Chart.
Access logins
In order to get your Access logins you can:
• Contact our customer support staff by calling 020 7153 8939.
• Send an e-mail to [email protected].
• Apply for your logins through our website free registration form (www.visualchart.com).
To access to the free registration form, click Visual Chart V central image, which appears
in the main page. Then, you will see two new options to apply for the free trial “Free
trial” or “VisualChart Free Trial”.
Connection
To receive real time or delay information:
1. - Enter your username and password in the connection window and then click
Connect.
2.- The Real Server connection icon will lighten, indicating that you are connected
To trade:
1. - Click the Broker connection icon in the fast Access toolbar.
2. - Enter your Visual Chart user name if you wish to connect to our market
simulator, or the logins provided by your broker to trade for real.
3.- The Broker connection icon will lighten, indicating that you are connected

Workspaces
To use the Workspaces click Visual Chart button
and select Workspaces, where you will be able to create a
new one, open an existing one, save it, send it or close it.
Organize pages inside the workspace
Visual Chart V enables to add an unlimited amount of pages to be able to
visualize charts, statistics, and quotes, manage your orders… You can also delete
pages, insert and rename them.
The following flaps will always be seen on the screen:
Market Monitor: market information, quote´ lists charts...
Broker Access: information provided by our broker.
Portfolio: it offers the possibility of visualizing the state of our portfolio.
iLive: it shares strategies and workspaces with other users.
Windows and pages
You can add as many flaps as required on each page, being able to customize
its size and order. All you need to do to change the order of the flaps is left
click any of them and without releasing the mouse, drag it towards the required
location. The windows will be automatically reorganized when new elements
are added.
To change the location of the windows inside of a page, you need to left click it and without releasing the mouse, drag it towards
the required location. You will see then several icons showing the possibility of leaving the window on several screen locations.

Open Chart (CTRL+G): Visualizing a chart.

1. - By clicking the command Chart, a panel will pop up with all the available symbols.
2. - Look for the required symbol and click on it, or insert the code in the corresponding window.
Insert chart (CTRL+I): this icon allows you to insert several charts in the same window.
Replace: click here to replace an existing chart by a new one.
You can use the keys combination CTRL+ M as well.

Compare: this icon is the command to overlap a new chart over the active one.
Chart configure
Change compression.
By clicking this icon, a menu will unfold with different compressions to choose among
(Ticks, minutes, days, weeks or months).
Change compression unit. By clicking the corresponding icon, you will be able to
select the required unity.
Change the representation type. You can represent the chart under several forms:
bars, candlesticks, linear, point and figure, Renko,….

Home
To customize any object you need to select it, by left clicking it, and then
configure it from the properties panel which is located at the right side of
the screen.
Quote´ lists

Open Quote´ list (CTRL+T): It allows you to visualize a quote ´list.
When clicking the command Quote inside Home, a search window will pop
up with all the available markets, organized by folders.
Open advanced quote´ list (CTRL + A): It shows a complete vision
of all the information related to a group of values. Once the quote list is
selected, you can have the information under different formats: tick chart,
limits, vertical ticker or fields.

Open volume distribution (CTRL + Y): It shows the currency
volume of a group of values graphically, being able to appreciate, according
to the intensity of the color, the rising and falling % compared with the
previous day.

Open Vertical/horizontal Ticker: It is possible to consult a group
of values in a vertical or horizontal ticker from the command. Kind of tickers.
Depth
Open DOM (CTRL+D):

Clicking the command DOM from the file Home, a window will
pop up with all the symbols organized by market, where we can
select the symbol that we desire to see.
Bid and Ask (CTRL+F):

It opens the bid and ask window of a value, showing the buy/sell
positions, the volume, the prices of the trades made, and the
codes of the agencies who buy/sell (if the market provides this
information).
Bid and Ask viewfinder (CTRL+Q):

We have here information about a chosen symbol, current value,
high, low...
Chart positions: It shows the positions of a value in the
chart. To use this tool, it is necessary to have the chart where
we want to insert the positions active, and then click in the
corresponding command.

Trade
Intermediation
It is necessary to configure the trading service according to the access (simulated/real).
Trade: By clicking in the file Trade, you can accede to the necessary commands of the intermediation.
You can trade with the Intermediation commands using the following icons:
Buy F8: when you click the command Buy of the file Trade, a window will pop up with the option to set
up the buy order. F8
Sell F9: In this case, the window will open to configure the options of the sell order.

Cancel orders F12: It allows you to cancel any order previously sent. F12
Modify orders F2: It allows you to modify an order previously sent. F2
Close an open position F10: By clicking this icon, a window will pop up with the opposite action of buy/sell,
and the same number of shares/contracts to close the open position. F10
Cancel all the orders: It allows you to cancel all the orders pending of execution at once.
In the commands group Order Form we can find some fields to fill out in order to send the order:
Symbol: we can search it or choose it, if we already know it.
Type: Market, Limit, Stop, etc…
Volume: number of shares/contracts.
Stop: a maximum price of buy or minimum price of sell is introduced. It is use to limit the potential loses.
Limit: It is use to limit loses or to guarantee a profit in an open position, or to enter the market at a specific level.
Time and volume Restrictions, advanced (conditionals, Brackets,
OSO, OCO)
It is also possible to predetermine orders in graphics, quote ‘lists,
automatic systems, activate/deactivate the option to see the orders
in the graphics, and send alarms through SMS.

Community
Send news and pages
Through this file, you can share analysis, graphics… with other users, ask technical support through
the chat and download strategies.
• Send news to the channel: It allows you to share strategies and knowledge with the rest
of the users. To do so, you need to fill out the window to send the news.
• Send pages to the channel: It allows you to share a page with other users. If we have any
analysis in the screen, we can send it to others so that they can immediately see it.
• Suggest an order: We can send to any user an order to trade in a specific product.
When this is set up, by clicking in the button the order is sent to other users. They will receive
the order through the U channel of the panel alive.
• Chart: To contact directly with other users or receive help from our support staff.
• Support. It connects with the chat to receive help from our operators.
• Get systems. It allows you to download systems from the web site.
Programmation
Create
There are two programming languages to develop your strategies, Visual Basic
for applications and the Visual Design Platform.
Visual Platform: It allows creating systems, indicators and studies in a simple
way through a visual environment. It is necessary to choose a code and a name
to be able to create a new strategy
After compiling a VBA code will be created, and the strategy will be registered
in the catalog for its later use.
Visual Basic: It is a programming language which is used to create systems,
indicators and studies. It is necessary to know about programming to develop
strategies in this language.
Create a scanner: The scanner is a tool that allows you to search symbols that
match specific conditions. It can be easily created through the assistant or through
VBA.

Programmation
Modify
Modify an Indicator/System/Study: A window with the available
files appears. By double clicking any of them, the code will load to
make any modification.
Modify Explorer: By clicking the corresponding button, you can
choose the explorer that you wish to modify using the assistant (if
it was created using this tool) or VBA.
Trading Tools
Using the COM technology – which acts as an interface between
different applications – you will be able to have the information that
Visual Chart uses, in any other platform compatible with the COM
tool, for example, Microsoft Excel.
You will be able to get real time information, market depth, historic,
technical data like volume and other indicators, system positions,
send and receive contributions and send orders. The only requirement
is to be connected to the data server and your broker.
View
Personalize/activate alerts, configure orders…
Edition: Cut, copy, paste and delete elements.
Alerts manager: Visual Chart sends alerts and runs orders in the market based in the configured alarms.
For example: when a crossover happens, you will receive an alert in a “window alert” with an audible
signal.
Orders manager: you can see the active orders, open positions, filled orders, closed positions, balance, and
you will be able to trade (change, cancel, clone orders, close positions…).

Historic contributor: It allows you to see the news and contributors historic that are received in the iLive channels.
Besides this, you can filter the information by type (technical analysis, fundamental data, and markets, by date…).
Chart objects: It activates the panel on the left side of the page.
Full screen: Visualizes the program in full screen (to go back, press Esc.)
Fix Start window: Activate/deactivate left panel.

Window organization
It sets up the information distribution in a workspace.
See only active flaps: You only see the active flaps while the rest are hidden.
Rebalance: Rebalances the groups of flaps, improving the order and the framing.
Maximize: The active flap is maximized, and clicking on it goes back to the original position.
Tile: Reorganizes the groups of flaps as the user desires.
