New This Year: We’re adding a 5k Run! …Not to be confused with the 5K Run portion of the Biathlon! This is JUST a 5K Run, with it’s own awards! Finisher’s Medals for Biathletes! Biathlon: 5k Run and 17.5 Mile Bike 2016 marks the 22nd annual Biathlon! Where: Choate Mental Health Center, Anna IL (1000 North Main Street, Anna, IL 62906). www.facebook.com/ColorfestBiathlon 5k Run Course: If you’re running JUST the 5K, or doing the entire Biathlon, you’ll start at the same time, and follow the same 5K course. The only difference is that Biathletes will start 100 yards behind the 5K’ers, & their 5K time ends at the Transition Area, while those running JUST the 5K will pass the Transition Area and keep running all the way to the Finish Arch! Did I confuse you??? Don’t worry! The course is marked well & we’ll brief it before the race! Be ready for a few rolling hills. We’ll have water & sports drink for you, about half-‐way along the course! Run Course Map: www.usatf.org/routes/view.asp?rID=551186
