Fr. Wilmer S. Tria, PhD,
is a priest from the Archdiocese of
Caceres, Naga City, Philippines.
He is also a professor at Jesuit-run
Ateneo de Naga University, is
actively involved in many cultural
and social undertakings, and is an
accomplished writer and author.
Fr. Wilmer is director of the Ateneo de Naga
University Press and is chief exective director
of the Consuelo Chito Madrigal Foundation,
an NGO that helps the poorest members of the
region by providing an entrepreneurship program,
microfinance, housing, scholarships and religious
and ethical formation. As a scholar he has
delivered various papers on language, education,
justice, culture and spirituality in the Philippines
and in some countries including Germany,
Dominican Republic, South Korea among others.
