required).

 Reserve Bank of India released Guidelines for Net Stable Funding Ratio
(NSFR) under Basel III Framework on Liquidity Standards for banks. RBI
proposed to make NSFR applicable to all banks from 1 January 2018 to
ensure that banks maintain a stable funding profile in relation to their assets
and off-balance sheet activities to avoid disruptions and failure.
o NSFR - Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR) is defined as the amount of
available stable funding relative to the amount of required stable
funding.

B. Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana was launched by the Prime Minister on
the birth anniversary of “Lok Nayak Jayprakash Narayan” under which all
MPs will adopt 3 village in his constituency for their renovation and

across the country, the largest such exercise on a single day

 Under the scheme, account holders will be provided zero-balance
bank account (BSBDA) with RuPay debit card, in addition to
accidental insurance cover of Rs 1 lakh to each households (not all
person within the family)
 Those who open accounts by January 26, 2015 over and above the
Rs1 lakh accident, they will be given life insurance cover of Rs
30,000.
 Six months of opening of the bank account, holders can avail Rs 5,000
loan (OD)from the bank.
 With the introduction of new technology introduced by National
Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), a person can transfer funds,
check balance through a normal phone (IMPS) which was earlier
limited only to smart phones so far.
 Maximum of 4 withdrawals a month including ATM withdrawal. No
such limit for deposits.
 HDFC Ergo insurance company extended Jan Dhan insurance cover
to 1 lakh.
 Any individual above the age of 10 years can open BSBDA Account.
 Such accounts have limitations regarding the aggregate credits (not
more than Rupees one lac in a year).

crore rupees to build toilets in schools.
 About 40% fund increased increased for Cleanness purpose from

 Note: ONGC has launched a „Swachchha Smarak, Swachchha
Bharat‟ campaign to clean up memorials and heritage places.

 Scientist Raghunath Anant Mashelkar, has been named the chair of
an expert panel to recommend best technologies for Prime Minister

K. PRADHAN MANTRI KRISHI SEENCHAYI YOJANA:
 Announced by Modi to meet Irrigation needs of all farmers across
the country.
 In Budget 2014-15, 1000Cr, has been allocated.
L VARISHTHA PENSION BIMA YOJANA:
 Govt relaunched the VPBY for the benefit of citizens having age more
than 60 years.
 It will provide pension ranging from 500 to 5,000 per month to senior
citizens.
 This Scheme is regulated by LIC of india.
M. SHYAM PRASAD MUKHERJEE NATIONAL RURAL MISSION:
