“IMPETUS-2k16” a technical fest was organized at Meghe Group’s Dr. Babashaeb Ambedkar College of
Engineering and Research (DBACER), Nagpur. The Chief Guest, Mr. Shashikant Choudhary, Co-Founder, Nagpur
Angels & Ex. Managing Director, Gobal Logic, Nagpur, inaugurated the event. “IMPETUS-2k16” consists of 14
technical events along with a National Level Project Competition conducted at various departments of DBACER. About
more
than
1500
students
from
other
institutions
participated
in
this
event.
Mr. Shashikant Choudhary encouraged and motivated the students for participating in various technical events
organized by DBACER. He also focused on the modern technology and Entrepreneurship. He personally visited all the 14
technical events and admired the efforts taken by the students to make it a great success.
The chief guest of valedictory functions. Dr. D. K. Agrawal, Director, Board of College and University
Development, RTMNU, Nagpur, congratulated the college for hosting such a big event and providing a wonderful platform
to the students to showcase their talents. Mr. Arjun Meghe, Trustee, SVSS, Mr. Ashwin Rajan, CEO, DBACER, Dr. V. H.
Tatwawadi, Principal, DBACER, Mr. Smitesh Bobde, Convener, Impetus. HoDs, all faculty members and students of
DBACER and other institutions in the region were present.

SUTRA
Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar College of Engineering and Research Nagpur has organized “Impetus 2K16” a
national level students convention on 23rd February 2016.In this technical convention Dept of Applied Mathematics had
organized „Sutra(Online)-2016‟ an objective test on Mathematical formulae. There were 141 students participant of first
year B.E. from different colleges of Nagpur University.
First Prize Bagged by Ms. Simran Sarode, Jhulelal Institute of Tech., Nagpur., Second prize won by Mr.
Adarsh Sharma from Priyadarshini College of Engg, Nagpur and Third prize shared by Mr. Mehul Gedam from Dr.
Babasaheb Ambedkar College of engg. & Research, wanadongri Nagpur and Ms. Neha Singh from Pallotin college of
Engg. Nagpur. Consolation prize Bagged by Mr. Ankit Kumar from Priyadarshini College of Engg, Nagpur and Ms.
Komal Sakalle from KDKCOE, Nagpur. The chief guest for prize distribution ceremony was Dr. D. K. Agrawal ,
RTMNU,Nagpur.
The event was co-ordinated by Mrs. A. A. Lakha, and Dr. P. V. Gayakwad. Mr.R.B.Pardhi, Head, Dept. of
Mathematics, Mr. R. A. Rathod and Mrs. Monali Thakare, First year Coordinator along with \the student co-ordinator, Mr.
Mayur Kanojiya, Ms. Darshana Khadse from first year B.E. worked hard to make the event successful.
THIRD EYE PHOTO CONTEST
Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar College of Engineering &
Research had organized a Photography Event “THIRD
EYE PHOTO CONTEST” a first of its kind, which
was conducted in two parts. In first half a “Basic
Photography Workshop” was held in college where more
than 60 participants were present. And in second half photo contest were held. Our Event Chief Guest/Judge was Mr.
Anurag Kulkarni, Founder & Managing Partner, Sa Digital Films Pvt. Ltd, Nagpur, who conducted Workshop and
enlighten students with various tips and valuable suggestions. Further the Results of 1st Round were announced and almost
50% participants reached into 2nd Round where they have been allotted themes on-spot to shoot. It was the first time in
Nagpur any Engineering college in RTMNU hosting such an event successfully and getting enormous response from
various Polytechnic, Science, and Engineering colleges. The First prize of Rs. 1500 was bagged by Shubham Makde, NPN
while Second Prize of Rs. 700 was bagged by Aryan Meshram, MAYC. As well as each participant received gift vouchers
& refreshment. The Faculty coordinator was Mr. Avinash Mahule from ECE Dept, DBACER along with student team

ROBOTHON_16
On 23rd February 2016 Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, of Meghe Group’s Dr.
Babasaheb Ambedkar College of Engineering and Research, Nagpur, recently organized a Technical event
“ROBOTHON_16” under IMPETUS_2k16. Mr. Shashikant Chaudhari, CEO Global Logic, Dr. V. H. Tatwawadi,
Principal, DBACER, Mr. P.S.Bhaskar, Co-convenor Impetus-2k16 inaugurated the event. Around 35 groups of various
colleges actively participated in the event. Event was conducted in 3 Rounds on three different track,The First prize was
bagged by Pratik Sukhdeve, WCOEN while Second Prize was bagged by Pankaj Morande, WCOEN The event was
successfully conducted by Faculty coordinators Mr. Samir Mhaske,the students enjoyed the event to the fullest.
DIRT-BOTZ
On 23rd February 2016 Department of Electronics Engineering, of Meghe Group’s Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar
College of Engineering and Research, Nagpur, recently organized a Technical event “DIRT-BOTZ” under
IMPETUS_2k16. Mr. Shashikant Chaudhari, CEO Global Logic, Dr. V. H. Tatwawadi, Principal, DBACER, Mr.
P.S.Bhaskar, Co-convenor Impetus-2k16 inaugurated the event. Around 15 groups of various colleges actively participated
in the event. The event was successfully conducted by Faculty coordinators Mr. Nilesh Panchbude,the students enjoyed the
event to the fullest.
IMPETUS EVENTS
National Level Project Competition
A National Level Project Competition under Impetus-2K16 (National Level Technical Convention) organized by
DBACER, Nagpur on 23rd Feb 2016. The project competition mainly held for polytechnic students. 78 project groups
were participated in this competition of various colleges. Students from Nagpur, Chandrapur, Varora, Bhandara, Gondia,
Tumsar were participated in this competition. Around 600 polytechnic students were presents in college campus on that
day. Cash prize worth Rs. 50,000/- were given to the winners at the hands of Chief Guest- Mr. Shashikant Chaudhari, CEO
Global Logic. Mr. N. V. Chaudhari and Mr. D. S. Gawande was coordinator of the event. Mr. Arjun Meghe Trustee
SVSS, Mr. Ashwin Rajan CEO DBACER, Dr. V. H. Tatwawadi Principal DBACER congratulated the organizing
team for hosting such a successful event.
Department of Electronics & Communication and Electronics Engineering Department of Dr. Babasaheb
Ambedkar College of Engineering & Research, Nagpur organized National Level Project Competition under
Annual Technical event IMPETUS 2K16 on 23rd February 2016. The competition got tremendous response with
19 project groups, majorly from all over the Vidarbha Region. Total 105 students participated in the event. Prof.
Mrs. H. R. Bhusari, Professor, Government Polytechnic was invited to judge the project groups.
