Options for Attaching the Front Sling Adapter
Standard Ruger
Barrel Band:
Loosen front barrel
band and slide it
forward to a point
where the 1" adapter
strap can be passed
through it from rear to
front. Pull the strap
through to a point where it stops, feed it through the 1" triglide, and
feed it back through for added security against the strap slipping out
of the buckle. Slide the entire barrel band and sling adaptor back in
place on the stock and tighten barrel band screw securely.
Barrel Band w. 1.25” Sling Slot:
If you selected this option, you received a front adapter that simply
passes through the slot on your barrel band and buckles to the bar.
Pass webbing strap A (the main sling strap) through tri-glide buckle
B, then through sling swivel C. Wrap strap A back around and pass
through tri-glide buckle B again. Leave 1/4” between
sling swivel C and tri-glide buckle. There
should be a 1.5 – 2” tab of
excess webbing.
Installing the G.O. Pack
spare mag carrier adaptor
Open the folded strap by pulling
the hook and loop faces apart,
then feed the hook end DOWN
through the 1.25" looplock on the
installed harness, fasten the hook
face to the loop face and press
together for security. Now open
the G.O. Pack harness and wrap it
around the smaller portion of the
stock. Feed the hook face end
through the looplock on the
harness, pull very tightly, and
press the fastener’s hook face to
the loop face to secure it.
While it may hold more, we
suggest putting only one or two
magazine carriers on the G.O.
Pack strap platform. More
carriers may obstruct the firing
grip on the stock.
Attaching the Rear Harness
Open the harness up and
place it on the stock’s butt
with the cross-butt strap in
place and with the small
hole pointing up. It should
cross over the butt-plate
screw on top of the stock. Feed the strap with the loop
fastener thru the 1"
looplock, pull tightly and
attach the fastener’s hook
face to the loop face and
press together for security.

WARNING:
Mishandling of firearms may cause serious injury or death. Before practicing with your
Original Giles Tactical Sling™ make sure your weapon is unloaded and pointed in a safe
direction. When handling the firearm, make sure your index finger remains straight along
the weapon's frame and not in contact with the trigger! Do not touch the trigger until your
sights are on the target and you are ready to fire. If the sling interferes with the safe
operation or handling of the weapon, discontinue use. For further safety considerations,
consult the owner's manual of your weapon and seek professional assistance.
