Introducing
Original Cookie Recipe since 1932
THE BOONE FAMILY
Our tradition of quality craftsmanship began when the Boone
family established their business,
Lotus Bakeries, in 1932. Today,
the third generation of the Boone
family continues this tradition,
making theirs the top selling biscuits in Belgium, Holland, Luxembourg and France. Lotus Bakeries
uses only the highest quality ingredients, and the original baking
and caramelization processes are followed exactly. An expert panel
of bakers and Boone family members themselves judge the flavor,
color and texture of the biscuits daily to maintain their incomparable taste.
BISCOFF HISTORY
In Belgium, decorative caramelized biscuits, called Biscoff in
the U.S. and “speculoos” in Europe, were traditionally used to
celebrate weddings and births, to teach history, and to chronicle
war. Today speculoos make up 20% of all the cookies eaten in
Belgium and are still an important part of their culture.

Your Customers “LOVE” Biscoff Spread
The reaction from Biscoff consumers to Biscoff Spread has
been amazing! In 2 short years, Biscoff Spread became one
of the top selling products on Biscoff Gourmet’s website
and catalog. Here are some comments from Biscoff fans.
The Speculoos à Tartiner (Biscoff Spread) was amazing. Imagine in not-too-sweet gingersnap, spicy and
bold, that you can smear over a piece of baguette. Or
lick right off the spoon. Move over Nutella!

The new Biscoff Spread is a food
revelation. A similar consistency to
peanut butter, it is a smooth spread
made of blended Biscoff cookies. The spread is perfect on toast,
stirred into oatmeal, warmed and
drizzled over vanilla ice cream,
or, as I do most frequently, eaten
directly from the jar.

JARS OF SPREADABLE SPECULOOS.
Crushed-up cookie paste deliciousness. I squeaked. Audibly. Forget Nutella,
forget peanut butter, forget anything else:
this stuff trumps. Catherine K

Europe’s alternative to Peanut Butter
A TELEVISON COMPETITION
• Biscoff Spread is made with Original
Lotus Biscoff Cookies.
Biscoff Spread’s story begins in Belgium in early 2007 with the simple but brilliant idea of Els Scheppers, a culinary enthusiast. Her
idea? Create a creamy spread with the unique taste of
Lotus Speculoos cookies. With recipe in hand, Els
entered the Belgian prime time TV show “De
Bedenkers” (The Inventors), competing against
2,000 other entrants. On November 25th a jury
of food experts and TV personalities chose Els’s
Speculoos spread recipe as one of the finalists of
the competition. Lotus Bakeries and Els
Scheppers worked together to perfect the recipe and so gave birth to
this new culinary delight!
• The main ingredient is Biscoff – made
with over 57% Biscoff cookies.
• It has a creamy and smooth
structure with consistency
of peanut butter.
• Contains no artificial colors,
flavors or preservatives.
• It is free of nuts!
I let my students taste the spread last week
at our dinner party. Their eyes lit up. They
were in love. One of them immediately
texted a classmate who was in Belgium, one
she doesn’t even know very well, to beg her
to bring back some Speculoos.

I was just introduced to this product last
night at work as one of the nurses had the
spread and cookies... So yummy. Would
love to find it locally to use as a peanutbutter substitute since my 2 yr old is allergic
to peanuts....
