Swedish Ginger Thins
Sweden has long had the cherished tradition of baking
Ginger Thins and Anna Karlsson who love to bake, gladly
treated everyone around her. Her Ginger Thins were so
sought after, that she and her younger sister Emma began
baking year round. In 1929, the sisters opened a domestic school on Artillerigatan Street in Stockholm where
they educated young girls to be maids in the upper class
homes. As a part of their business, they started a bakery
where they baked and sold Ginger Thins. Today, Anna’s
Thins are a favorite in Swedish homes and the 100 yearold recipe continues to be a well-protected secret.

THE BOONE FAMILY Our tradition of
quality craftsmanship began in Belgium
when the Boone family established
their business, Lotus Bakeries, in 1932.
Today, the third generation of the
Boone family continues this tradition, making theirs the
top selling biscuits in Belgium, Holland, Luxembourg
and France. Lotus Bakeries uses only the highest quality
ingredients, and the original baking and caramelization
processes are followed
exactly. An expert panel
of bakers and Boone
family members themselves judge the flavor,
color and texture of the
biscuits daily to maintain
their incomparable taste.
