TRANSPORTATION: Lexington and Louisville are both served by several major airlines. Danville’s airport can accommodate most any general aviation aircraft.
Transportation will be furnished from any of the airports upon notification.
INSPECTION: Cattle will be available for inspection on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. Ear tags correspond with catalog lot numbers.

LUNCH: A complimentary lunch provided by the Central Kentucky Angus Association & served by the Garrard County Livestock Club will be served.
SPECIAL NOTE: Sale postponement would occur only under extremely severe weather conditions which cause major roadways to be blocked. The postponement
date would be Monday, January 26th. For questions pertaining to whether or not the sale will be held as scheduled, please call the sales manager or any of the
consignors.
EPDS: The EPDs printed in this catalog were taken from the American Angus Association website & were current as of 12/20/2014 or later. If printed EPD is
denoted as estimated, the EPD was derived by averaging the EPDs of the sire and the dam, and consequently the registration certificate issued for that animal
may not show an EPD for the individual animal.
AI CERTIFICATES: NO AI certificates will be furnished for females bred to bulls not owned by the seller.
GENETIC DEFECTS: Each animal in the sale will have a current status for AM, CA, NH & DD listed in this catalog or an update sheet which will be available sale
day if that status has changed since the publication of the catalog. CKAA is now accepting cattle into sales regardless fo their genetic defect status as long as they
are registered with the American Angus Association. Potential carriers are denoted with a “P” in front of the notation of the genetic defect of which they are a
potential carrier, ie. PAM, PCA, PDD, PNH. The absense of any such notations means the animal is not regarded as a potential because of the pedigree.
SALE OF CKAS STOCK: At the beginning of the sale we will auction 5shares of Central Kentucky Angus Sales Incorporated Stock. These shares belong to Wendell
Bruce. CKAS, Inc. is the corporation that owns the Central Kentucky Angus Sales Pavilion facilities.

outstanding set of Angus genetics, be it show heifers, herd replacements, bulls, embryos, or semen. This 2015 offering includes representatives from each of these
categories while at the same time offering a wide selection of bloodlines that are in high demand in the current Angus market.
The female consignments this year include 8 really nice open heifers that are ready to breed for spring 2016 calves and to compete in the 2015 show circuit. 29 cows
with 18 calves at side will sell, and the age, bloodlines, and quality of this group will stand your keenest scrutiny. Also selling will be a large selection of embryos
and semen from several of Kentucky’s leading breeders.
CKAA believes in supporting our young people, and as you study this catalog, you will note the history of a strong scholarship program, photos from the 2014 CKAA
Junior Show, and the schedule for the 2015 Junior show. Plan to be present on June 27th, 2015 for an enjoyable day of good food, good fellowship, and to support
these Juniors. They are the future of our organization.
Please note the announcement on page 3 about Logan Goggin joining me in the management of sales. I am looking forward to Logan’s assistance, and truly
believe that his talents will be an asset to all of our sales.
As always, we will do everything possible to make your attendance at a CKAA sale a comfortable and rewarding experience. If I or any of the sale staff or consignors
can assist you with matters regarding this sale, please contact us. Will look forward to your presence on January 24, 2015.

•7 PATHFINDERS •An opportunity to acquire one of the first Connealy Black Granite daughters
to sell at public auction. M324 is a feminine fronted, level designed heifer that could excel in
the show ring. She also posses the depth of body and muscle shape of a tremendous brood cow
prospect. Her sire, Connealy Black Granite, is a wide based, stout hipped son of Connealy Consenses 7229 that sold for $80,000 in the 2012 Connealy Bull Sale. This fancy heifer calf also
posts a breed leading EPD profile having 12 individual traits ranked in the top 20% of the
breed. Myers Queen M324 is backed by a strong maternal cow family that seemed to “never
miss”. M324 is a unique individual that combines phenotype and genotype into an elite breeding
package.
•9 PATHFINDERS •M257 is an excellent producing daughter of Predestined from one of the
most valued cow families in the Myers herd. She is backed by multiple generations of breed
leading sires and records a solid EPD profile that is highlighted by ranking in the top 10% of
the Angus breed for marbling. 2 daughters are being retained and are in production in the
Myers herd. M257 is ideal in her sturcture and exhibits tremendous length of body with a level
hip and an excellent udder. Her Connealy Capitalist son, Myers Trump M172, was a feature in
the Boyd/Myers Bull Sale this past Spring and sold to Randall Arnett of Mt. Sterling, KY. M257
stems from a cow family that has been working in the Myers program since 1986. Pedigree,
performance, and phenotype are all wrapped together in this breeding piece.

This Rito Revenue female may be small in stature, but packs a punch! Made with good volume to her, her latest calf was the lightest at birth, but shot up to be the heaviest by weaning
in a tough contemporary group. I might add that she did all of that with a service sire that

•6 PATHFINDERS •SAV Madame Pride was a class winner for Colby Myers at the 2011 National Junior
Show. She is from the Madame Pride cow family at Schaff Angus Valley in North Dakota and stems directly from “SAV Madame Pride 8264” who has been one of the herd matriarchs in the SAV program.
‘0098’ posts a weaning ratio of 104 on 3 calves sired by 3 different AI Sires while maintaining a calving
interval of 372 days. We are retaining 2 daughters by SAV Pioneer and VAR Reserve in our herd. A
son by Capitalist was a feature for Myers Angus Farm in the 2014 Boyd Bull Sale and he was a 3/4
brother to Boyd Cartwright that was leased to Genex. ‘0098’ has an EPD profile that ranks in the top
25% of the Angus breed on 14 different traits. She is structurally correct and very big bodied with an
excellent udder and high quality feet. She exhibits tremendous width of top and is still very feminine
fronted. This cow combines pedigree, performance, and phenotype into a unique breeding package.
The mating by AAR Ten X 7008 SA should create exceptional cattle with high performace and excellent
phenotype.
•6 PATHFINDERS •M197 is from the Queen family that has been developed in the Myers Angus program since 1985. The Queens are cattle of exceptional phenotype and high maternal traits. They are
the most dependable cow family in the Myers program in terms of always producing exceptional quality,
good looking, high performing cattle. She posts a birth ratio 101, a weaning ratio of 101 and a yearling
ratio of 103. This excellent milking daughter of Onward exhibits extra length of body with a tremendously long and level hip. She transmits a sharp look to her progeny and Myers Ten Times M103 was
a featured son by AAR Ten X 7008 SA that sold in the 2014 Boyd Bull Sale. He is a full brother to this
embryo mating. One of the most rare attributes of M197 is the fact the she ranks in the top 2% of the
Angus breed for $Beef index and does not have any of the mainstay “carcass bulls/genetics” in her pedigree. She is a true outcross in terms of carcass value and this mating by AAR Ten X 7008 SA will accentuate that rarity. M197 is viewed as an outlier for excellent phenotype combined with outcross carcass
genetics which is a rare combination in the Angus breed today.

Angus as the top selling female in the 2012 CKAA Winter Sale. Middle Creek had acquired her as a top
seller at $15,000 in the 2007 Texas Angus Sale. 5546 has an ideal udder and readily passes this trait
to her daughters. The mating of this female to Ten X will provide tremendous genetic potential to the
lucky purchaser of these embryos.
