The brand, which launched at Style Fashion Week LA in March 2014 debuted their very first collection on runway in front of hundreds gasping for more. Not knowing what to expect, jaws dropped as both media and guests were astounded with the exquisite garments being presented by these barefoot models parading in front of them. Style Fashion Week LA proved to be the perfect platform to launch, as the NANCY VUU brand received tremendous embrace by fans and media worldwide. In fact, right before showcasing to the world, Vogue Italia was given the first sneak peak NANCY VUU. Won over by the depth & power of her fashions Vogue Italia featured the NANCY VUU “Isabella” gown. Soon after LA Fashion Week, NANCY VUU couture was graced all over the children’s fashion industry. From magazine covers, 10 page spreads to interviews, and write-­‐ups as editor’s choice and fresh finds, Nancy Vuu became the upcoming designer to watch. In October 2014 NANCY VUU returned to LA Fashion Week and showed at the Art Heart Fashion Platform. This time the entire Spring/Summer 2015 was presented which included a total of 32 pieces. Many child actresses for Nickelodeon came to represent NANCY VUU. Even Hollywood celebrity Asia of Raising Asia on Lifetime walked and closed the show with a curtsy. By this time, the NANCY VUU brand had reached the ears of European Children’s Fashion Experts. KiDs Magazine France writes and proclaims: “NANCY VUU, remember that name!” In November 2014, NANCY VUU sponsors a team of models at East Coast Starz. Vuu not only styled the children in her couture, but spent hours to coach the team how to walk. Impressed by the judges, Vuu’s team won first place. The judges also scored the designs separately. Of the twenty designers, Nancy Vuu was crowned designer of the year. By year end, NANCY VUU hit GLAMOUR UK for December 2014 issue. In December 2015 NANCY VUU opens up to custom orders for Child Model Magazine’s Top Model & Red Carpet event. Four models judged in NANCY VUU couture win Top Model of the year for their division. Starting 2015 strong, NANCY VUU is flooding London with her fashions in iconic fashion magazines VOGUE, GLAMOUR, and Harper’s BAZAAR. Enamored by the brand, creative director Elizabeth Edwards, of BRIDES magazine emails Vuu directly and says, “[I] recently saw some of your AMAZING dresses. We’d love to feature you in an editorial in our upcoming issue…would be a lovely story!” In March 2015 NANCY VUU debuts her second collection. Her FW’15 goes RED at Style Fashion Week as she partakes in the Go Red Celebrity Fashion Show. Her elegant and graceful “Royal Red” Collection is in support of the Go Red movement to help raise awareness of heart disease, and to help us teach our children in a beautiful way that living a heart healthy life must start at an early age. The “Eternal Garden is also introduced. The show receives immense favor and lands Vuu an invitation to show at the prestigious Cannes Fashion Festival. After LA Style Fashion Week, NANCY VUU online store officially launches, allowing clients to browse and custom order online. The company also decides to partner with a publicist and PR team to grow brand awareness. On May 20th 2015 – NANCY VUU will open the Cannes Fashion Festival during the Cannes Film Festival with renowned Dutch designer Addy van den Krommenacker, alongside the very top international fashion empires and designers. Nancy Vuu was born in April 1978 in My Tho, Vietnam. She is of Chinese and Vietnamese descendant. At the age of one, her fate changed when her family immigrated to America. Nancy witnessed her parent’s sacrificial heart, hardworking ethics and perseverance as the family transitioned into their new life in America. Each parent impressed lasting lessons upon her: from her father, Nancy inherited his entrepreneur spirit and his ability to innovate; from her mother, Nancy inherited her meticulous attention to beauty and artistry. Growing up, Nancy became enamored with fashion and would sketch clothing designs. Following graduation she found success in banking and consumer realestate with Bank of America holding Vice President title in positions such as Marketing, Account Executive and Premier Client Manager. As a working mother, Nancy enjoyed styling her children in unique and beautiful clothing, where her passion for fashion re-­‐ignited. In July 2013, Nancy Photography was established. The same month, Nancy had the special opportunity to shoot for OneGoodThread.com and marked her first debut. Her photography flourished quickly placing her as one of the most sought out children’s fashion photographer. She is a current contributing fashion photographer to Vogue Italia. Through Nancy’s loyal and deep fan base, she branched into children’s clothing and launched NANCY VUU in May 2014. Today, Nancy is recognized internationally. Her designs are featured in Vogue Italia, British Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar UK, Glamour UK, KiDS Magazine France, Earnshaw’s US, It’s a Kid’s World US, and Fashion Odd’s US. In addition to all of her accomplishments, Nancy’s humble beginnings, inspires her to always give back to the community. In 2015, Nancy collaborated with Olesja Mueller for the Magic Photo Shoot for children battling cancer and also donated two custom crowns. Nancy also partners with Unlikely Heroes in efforts to raise awareness, stop human trafficking and to build safe homes for victims of human trafficking. Most recently, she was honored to serve in the Go Red Celebrity Fashion Show to benefit the American Heart Association. Over the next couple months, Nancy will partner with Children’s Hospital in Southern California to bring awareness to some of today’s health challenges during the Celebrity Blood Drive. Nancy’s hope is through her design and photography she will have the platform to give back to the community and build a better future for the next generation.
