History
Background
The Café Moscow was planned by the architect Josef Kaiser and Horst Bauer
as an nationality restaurant in the year 1959 and completed in 1964. Noticeable
is the particular transparency, which was achieved through an open atrium
design. The entrance to the Karl-Marx-Allee adorns the 9×15 meters large mosaic
“Aus dem Leben der Völker der Sowjetunion“ - the painter Bert Heller was the
rector of the Art Academy Berlin-Weissensee. On the opening, the Sputnik Satellite was fixed durably in its original size. It was a gift from the Ambassador of the
USSR. The signature on the roof was designed by the graphic artist Klaus Wittkugel. In 1965 Fritz Kühn created a 2.5 meter high steel fountain for the courtyard.
Today, the Café Moskau is used as a meeting and event location.

In the back area of the club there is a second

Our rooms offer space for 50-900 guests
and seating facilities for up to 120 people.
An ultra-modern lighting system made
by Room Division makes each visit at the
AVENUE club a particular experience.
The entire sound system is operated by
a VOID PA system - one of the leading
manufacturers in the field of professional

The club design was conceived by the
renowned Berlin architect karhard architecture + design. They have planned
the internationally known clubs Pacha in
Munich and the Panorama Bar in Berlin’s
Berghain. Their concept combines simple
elegance with timeless design elements.
With a total area of 850 square meters and
the possibility to change the room parts,
we are able to give you the right atmosphere for your event.
